Tell us, Cuba Gooding Jr.: What's the story behind your name?

From “Boyz N The Hood” to “Men of Honor,” Oscar-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has quite the resume.

Gooding’s most recent role was Major Emanuelle Stance in “Red Tails,” a film which takes a look at the role African-American Tuskegee Airmen played in WWII.

In his iReport interview, Gooding explains why he thinks making military-themed films like “Red Tails” is important, and he also reveals the story behind his name.

We thank our iReporters for submitting questions, and to Cuba Gooding Jr., we hope you’ll be back too.
