Welcome back, "Modern Family" fans!
I was off last week, but thanks to iReporter Kathi Cordsen for posting her thoughts on "Aunt Mommy" (and Claire was definitely last week's MVP).
On to Wednesday night's show, where the co-MVPs were the scheming Manny and Luke. Their plan to take the spotlight-stealing Lily down a few pegs accidentally injured Cam (Phil offered him a "Swedish massage, accent optional"), and broke Lily's doll, instead.
However, things were not as they seemed: this was all an elaborate Cam ruse to find the tupperware Claire borrowed and never returned.
At the same time, Alex let it slip out that Haley wasn't a virgin anymore in front of Phil (Haley: "[Claire] promised she wouldn't tell Dad until after I left for college, which means that he may never have found out").
Phil and Haley then spoke in none-too-subtle euphemisms in response to this news: "It happens, dolls grow up."
While Mitchell inadvertently told Jay's friends that his accidental hole-in-one was a fraud, and Claire revealed to Gloria that her "yoga" class was really a shooting range, Manny and Luke's focus moved to impressing Manny's latest crush. ("She's like a dream, wrapped in a wish, poured into jeggings.")
Manny's slow drive by her lemonade stand was one of the funniest images of the season, followed by his worried slow reverse when he realized he didn't know how to get out of a dead end road.
It was an especially plot-heavy episode that delved deeper into the personality differences between the three main families. The theme of the "statute of limitations" on big family revelations was pretty amusing too (a statute which Luke and Manny won't be taking advantage of), and the Phil-Haley storyline was handled well.
What did you think of this week's episode? Do you think Manny and Luke will continue to plot against Lily? Share your view on iReport or comment below.
Good grief. Reading this article was like reading the work of an 8 year old. I know the show well and still couldn't understand what the writer was saying. Take a breath and learn to proofread. Yikes!
the child actor who plays Lily sucks.
i agree she is not a very good actor even for a child
Fat ugly little fuker driving that car.
Dat sur iz a fanci automobil theyz drivin.
Liberal Garbage. Why is this drek even on the air?
Because there are more of us who like it than not like it. You are a minority.
Still here? You must spend at least an hour a day leaving comments like this. The irony is that, I assume, most right wingers have job - you clearly do not. What a sad, obviously friendless little girl you are. But you already know that.
i thought I told you to get off your porch and live a little.
Loved the episode. I love how they have had a lot more family get togethers. The interaction between Manny & Luke is my favorite, a relationship only a family could have. I don't they'll be trying to sabotage Lilly anymore (they made a pact) but I hope they continue to scheme; Luke being the mastermind is genius!
Luke, mastermind ?
I thought it was a great episode also. I laughed and rewinded the part where Phil and the kids were in the car discussing 'aversion'. That was genius!
