Whitney Houston's dress, 'Bodyguard' earrings up for auctionKevin Costner said at Whitney Houston's memorial service Saturday, no other woman could've portrayed "The Bodyguard's" Rachel Marron. But now the highest bidder can, at least, try and acquire the character's jewelry. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the earrings and vest that Houston wore in the 1992 blockbuster are going to be up for auction as part of the Hollywood Legends collection at Julien's Auctions. The jewelry is listed for around $600, while the vest is listed at $400. Those two items, as well as a black gown of Houston's that's also up for auction (with a starting price of $1,000) are all expected to sell for far higher than the listed price points.
The items will go up on the auction block March 31 and April 1, with a free public exhibition running at the Beverly Hills based Julien's Auctions from March 19 to March 31. Houston passed away at 48 a mere week ago, and was buried Sunday in Westfield, New Jersey, after a celebrity-filled memorial service on Saturday that was held in her childhood church in Newark.

Let's remember Whitney for her God-given voice and beauty. As a pre-teen, she was giving many thousands the enjoyment and blessings with the ministry of her special voice. And later, multiple millions of people from many different generations listened, sang, and danced to her music. Her songs are still played at wedding receptions to this day. And yet you haters (and you know who you are) are choosing to remember her for a very short 10 year period when she was lost to herself. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Because years go by so quickly, life is far too short to spend them being such negative, hurtful and hate-filled people.

She did her job for her own benefit....she didn't rescue people, find cures for disease, or find a solution for world peace. The pastor who presented the preached eulogy at the funeral stated some lawyer called him prior to the service to ask if he was interested in securing property rights for his eulogy – he declined stating the preaching was based from the bible so how can take credit for that? This lawyer was clearly looking to profit from Whitney's death.

I believe she's only done 2 since then, and with her voice practically gone, the probability of her doing 4 more albums was very slim. So...I think you all can infer where I'm going here. What is so frustrating is to be given a gift as large as her voice only to throw that gift right back at God. Whitney never thought she was good enough and couldn't handle the pressure....instead of thinking of her daughter, she thought of herself and escaped with drugs...what a shame.
