The CW's "Beauty and the Beast" has started the casting process, and they're hiring in-house: "Smallville's" Kristin Kreuk has been tapped for the female lead in the series, which is inspired by the CBS' "Beauty and the Beast" show that ran in the '80s. Kreuk will play Catherine, a "tough-minded NYPD homicide detective" who searches for the Beast for years after her mother is killed. When she finds him, she ends up becoming his protector. [Deadline]
That's not all the casting news we've got for you today: Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts have signed on for a film adaptation of the play "August: Osage County," with Streep as matriarch Violet and Roberts as her oldest daughter, Barbara. [HuffPo]
And then there's Oprah Winfrey, who's said to be "mulling over" making her return to acting in a Lee Daniels film. [THR]

Evening all! I agree with you Coolbreeze. I never thought Julia Roberts was physically attractive, either. She has big ears, a large mouth, & weird teeth. She does have an inner beauty that makes her attractive, though. Does that make sense? @P- you are right. That's some tat! @gg-Oprah must be getting bored. It's not like she needs the money!

Hello CB! I'm just great! I think Julia Roberts is attractive but not beautiful if that makes sense. Halle Berry is "cute". Oprah returning to acting? I guess she wants more publicity. I love Meryl Streep movies! How's that for news? LOL take care!

I don't think I missed anything today. Am I the only guy who thinks Julia Roberts is not attractive. Not a big fan of Halle Berry after hearing many interviews. Oh well, how are my lady friends tonight?
