David Cross has 'high hopes' for 'Arrested's' returnThe "Arrested Development" crew has gotten started on production for the show's 2013 return, and David Cross tells Playboy he isn't worried that the reincarnation will damage "Arrested's" status as a cult favorite. "Based on what was described to me, it seems to be a very smart, original, interesting idea. I have high hopes for it," Cross, who played Tobias Funke in the series, said. At least, "I'm definitely more confident than I was before, but that's not to say I'm 100 percent confident," he admitted. "I won't be 100 percent confident until it's made."
Meanwhile, Cross has been hard at work wrapping up IFC's "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret"....and, apparently, just saying no to drugs. The 47-year-old actor told the magazine that while he's still "curious about whatever new drug comes down the pike," he's not really into recreational use anymore. "There was a long period when I indulged in drugs," he said, "but I don't think I was ever addicted to any of them." However, "I do think crack is addictive," he continued. "I smoked it once, and it was a huge wake-up call. It was pretty amazing. I totally get the hype on it. But when it came time to get some more, I knew very clearly that if I stayed there - and I wanted to - my life would change right then and there for the worse. I never touched crack again." |

David Cross is a comic genius and humorous and sometimes serious political commentator. He's too good to by hurt by illegal drugs and abusing prescription and OTC meds I am not implying by any means he abuses Rx drugs. What I wrote re: drugs is a general statement meant for anyone. Oh please don't do Crack or any hard drug. There's the danger of addiction. either psychological , physical or both. Then there's that little something called a fatal overdose.
Crack is whack.
So glad he did not become addicted to crack. David Cross is a genius comic and it would be a terrible waste if he threw his talents away. I would suggest crack to Jim Belushi on the ohter hand....
I coulda swore that crack is one of the ingredients of Teamocil.
Oh no Dr. Funke... -Shakes head- Crack? Really? That must've been during your "Dr. Funke's 100 Percent Natural Good Time Family Band Solution" days.
