'X Factor' winner rocks with Elton JohnAs promised, "X Factor's" season one winner Melanie Amaro showcased her pipes while promoting for Pepsi in a commercial on Sunday - and she received some assistance from none other than Sir Elton John. The ad spot had Elton ruthlessly presiding over a medieval court, stingily withholding Pepsi from desiring performers until Amaro comes and puts him in his place (in this case, the dungeon, which was also inhabited by Flavor Flav) with her take on Aretha Franklin's "Respect."
"Basically, I'm a singing princess warrior," Amaro previously explained to Entertainment Weekly of the commercial's concept. On working with Sir Elton, Amaro said "he was really nice, and had a lot of positive things to say," including that he'd been rooting for her to win the first season. What'd you think of Amaro's Pepsi commercial?

Are you freakin kidding me? He was awful...bet you're 2nd favorite president was Nixon...3rd Dummy Dubya. Reagan refused to lift a finger to fund the rising decimation of AIDS and wouldn't even say the word for years...while hundreds of thousands died. Shame on him and his shoepolished head.

I agree. I was so excited to see my girl, and in a Pepsi ad, & a Superbowl one at that–and this is what they give her?
