Michelle Obama and Ellen Degeneres show off their guns

Michelle Obama has some rockin’ arms.

She took the country by sleeveless storm when soon after becoming the country’s first lady, she trumped tradition and wore what she wanted, showing off her muscular biceps.

Mrs. Obama put those guns to work recently during a  trip to the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" where the 54-year-old DeGeneres challenged the 48-year-old first lady to a push-up contest. Judging by the video above who do you think won? FULL POST

Julianne Hough on her 'great' relationship with Seacrest

No wonder these two are always all smiles: Julianne Hough tells Parade that her romance with "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest is going swimmingly.

Although they're both have packed schedules, Hough says they figure out ways to make it work.

"It's a hard thing to do, especially when you're so caught up in your work and bettering yourself," the 23-year-old says.

"It does get hard, because you're so focused on that, but I think at the end of the day you have to find a balance with what's really important," she continues. "I'm so lucky to have a great relationship. I'm very blessed and I don't take anything for granted."

And if she ever misses him, she can always catch him on the tube - especially now that "Idol" is back on.

"Heck yes," she watches him every week, Hough tells Parade. "And it is so good. I love this season!"

Jamie Lynn Spears talks being a teen mom

Jamie Lynn Spears is likely a name you haven't heard in a few years, and that was by design.

The former Nickelodeon star tells Glamour magazine in its March issue that she intentionally stepped away from the spotlight after she got pregnant at 16.

Spears, who turns 21 in April, recalls that in 2007, after she finished filming Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101," she thought she'd go back home to Louisiana and finish school - but then she found out she was pregnant.

Coming to an agreement on 'Big Bang Theory'

It was a long time coming, but Leonard finally put his foot down.

The much-discussed "roommate agreement" between Sheldon and Leonard was brought to an end on Thursday night's "Big Bang Theory" (and just in time for the show's biggest ratings ever, according to CBS).

Leonard was tired of adhering to it, and thus the two were merely acquaintances, exchanging the occasional "'Sup?"

New 'Hunger Games' trailer: What do you think?

The countdown is on for "The Hunger Games" (48 more days to go!) and a new trailer has arrived.

It's only a minute and a few seconds long, but the intensity of the scenes used is enough to make even those who haven't read the books raise a brow of interest.

As with the first theatrical trailer, we see Katniss Everdeen, the 16-year-old heroine of Suzanne Collins' novels, volunteer to take her younger sister Primrose's place in the televised battles teens are forced into in this dystopian tale.

This time around, we also see a hint more of Oscar nominee Jennifer Lawrence's performance as Katniss, as she has a difficult exchange with her childhood friend Gale (Liam Hemsworth) and heads to the Capitol.

She also encounters characters like Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci), Cinna (Lenny Kravitz), Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks) and her competitor/love interest, Peeta (Josh Hutcherson).

"The Hunger Games" will be released on March 23.

Melissa Etheridge: Komen decision would have cost lives

The Susan G. Komen Foundation has reversed its decision to cut off funding for some of its projects with Planned Parenthood, a move that undoubtedly has lifted the spirits of Melissa Etheridge.

The singer was just one of many who reacted strongly to the news that Komen, a non-profit that’s raised millions to fight breast cancer, had decided to withdraw funding for breast cancer screenings at Planned Parenthood locations.

Etheridge, a breast cancer survivor herself, said the decision would cost lives, especially among poor women who rely on Planned Parenthood to pay for breast cancer screening.

'Jersey Shore' is 'legit' disgusting

Last night’s “Jersey Shore” was one of the dirtier episodes we’ve seen in the show’s five seasons. And not in a good way.

We’ve watched the cast urinate in some interesting places – behind the bar at Karma, etc. – but never in the middle of the dance floor.

Oddly enough, it wasn’t just Snooki’s blood alcohol content that caused the meatball’s accident. She was also suffering from a UTI, which she said doesn’t stand for Ultimate Tanning Institute, contrary to popular belief.

Friday Top Five: Are you ready for some football?

Even if you're not into the actual pigskin, you're probably nonetheless looking forward to the party that comes along with Super Bowl, so consider this week's Friday Top Five to be your warm-up.

The football film is as time-honored a tradition as the Super Bowl itself, and narrowing the playing field isn't easy. Even the less well-executed in this genre can warm the heart and lift the spirits with tales of teamwork, persistence and (eventually) triumph.

But the best football movies, in our opinion, also reflect the ugly side of that success as well, be it on the high school football field or in the pros.
