What George Clooney loves about the GlobesWe had no idea we had so much in common with George Clooney. True, none of us are 50-year-old acclaimed actors dating Stacy Keibler, but we do share an adoration for the antics that seem to occur at one awards ceremony in particular: The Golden Globes. "My favorite part is somebody always gets hammered and really screws up, which is good fun," Clooney told CNN of the Globes awards, at which he'll be on Sunday. His two films, "The Ides of March" and "The Descendants," brought in nine nominations.
Don't count Clooney out of the spirit-soaked revelry: When asked if there'll be a festive beverage, like a Mai Tai, at his table, the actor latched onto the suggestion. "That's a great idea, because you know, that's not a hangover," Clooney mused Thursday at the Critics Choice Awards. "Something with an umbrella and a straw for everyone at the table. I like it. I'll do it." His "Descendants" co-star Shailene Woodley, whose role in the movie has her up for a best supporting actress Globe, is on board. "Yeah, right, with the little umbrellas, some pineapples. I'd be down," Woodley said. "Break open the coconuts. Let's do it!" So, there you have it: If you're planning on playing a Golden Globes-related drinking game - perhaps involving Ricky Gervais' sure-to-be outlandish jokes (not that we recommend that...) - aim for a tropical theme, and it'll be like you're at Clooney's table. The Golden Globes will air live Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

I have never thought of Clooney as being gay! Where did this come from? I think he is good-looking for 50 but if you put him next to Brad Pitt who is only 2 years younger, he looks a lot older!!! I also think the comparison with Clark Gable is far off the mark! Clooney is known more for who he dates and for how long than his acting!!!
@GA...I agree. Clooney needs to go back to TV acting. He's not "Movie Star" material...if you've seen one of his films, you've seen them all. He lacks the ability to become the character he is supposed to be portraying. He's just a "pretty" face afraid of growing old, so he gets a new arm charm each year so people will talk about him and not his "acting".
They should have a lottery to see who he takes next year. Hugh Hefner George Clooney what's the diff anymore.

Stacy has done something no other gf of George's has done- relieved him of his hotness- next to this amazon, he looks old, short and feeble- he should really think of taking someone else to the globes and Oscar- someone he looks better next to- even his mother would do

Oh, you are so wrong. I had the pleasure of seeing George when he was here in St. Louis for the filming of Up In The Air. He is even better looking in person than I could have ever imagined!
