It looks like the third time down the aisle just may be the charm for Drew Barrymore.
The 36-year-old actress announced that she's engaged to art consultant Will Kopelman earlier this month, and Barrymore tells InStyle that she's over the moon.
Kopelman is "lovely," she says in the magazine's February issue. "He's very, very nice. It's really positive. I'm super happy."
Kopelman has also introduced something of a social shift for Barrymore, who says that her fiance leads the more mellow life she used to think she didn't want.
"We go on group trips and spend holidays together - there’s a lot of love! And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows," Barrymore says. "It’s funny, when I was younger, I used to say I’d hate a flat line—that I want the ups and downs, the rollercoaster. But I’m actually really enjoying the flat line.”
And as she approaches the big 4-0, she's also enjoying aging naturally.
“I say, don’t fight the rings on the trunk of a tree. Just keep counting ‘em," she tells InStyle on the thought of getting plastic surgery. "The idea of not looking like myself scares me. I just think a person’s character is what’s interesting.”
