'The Martha Stewart Show' to end this yearThe Hallmark Channel is singing Martha Stewart's praises...as they prepare to say farewell to her daytime show this year. Reports have surfaced that Hallmark is canceling "The Martha Stewart Show," and a rep for the network says in a statement on behalf of Crown Media Family Networks and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia that the show will stick around through the end of the summer. "The daytime block on Hallmark Channel demonstrated year over year ratings growth and earned 'The Martha Stewart Show' two Daytime Emmy Awards in its first season on Hallmark," the statement congratulates. It then adds, "That show will continue to air through the end of summer 2012." Rob Lowe on 'transforming' into Drew PetersonRob Lowe underwent quite a transformation to play Drew Peterson in this month's Lifetime movie, "Untouchable," and the actor is revealing how he prepared to play the infamous former police sergeant from Illinois. (Peterson is currently in jail, having been accused of killing his third wife, and is suspected in the disappearance of his fourth.) In an interview with "Showbiz Tonight's" A.J. Hammer, Lowe says he paid close attention to the way Peterson behaved in live interviews. "I watched him talk about being on 'Dial a Date' — 'Win a Date with Drew Peterson' - when people were searching for his missing wife at the same moment. I watched this outrageous behavior," Lowe recalls. "So I knew there was going to be a lot of [complex] stuff to play." |
