Mario Lopez was ready to put a ring on it over the New Year's holiday, and is now engaged to girlfriend Courtney Mazza.
The 38-year-old "Extra" host popped the question while in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico, on New Year's Day, his rep tells CNN.
Lopez explained on "Extra," I've come to the realization that I'm never going to meet another woman as special and amazing as the one I have, and I think she's finally succumbed to my pressure and will take me," he laughed.
Kanye West had a lot to get off his chest Wednesday night, and opted to convey it all in a succession of at least 80 tweets that continued into the early morning hours on Thursday.
The 34-year-old musician tweeted about everything from his new company - DONDA, named after his late mother - to education, creativity and design. Close to 24 hours ago, West began by saying he wanted to clarify a few things. For starters, the name of his fashion line is Kanye West, not DW.
He continued, "I love being back at my fashion office learning and creating. It's so challenging and fun and I'm surrounded by amazing people. They so you only live once but every time I come to work I feel like I'm starting a second life...You guys might think I have some type of backing for my line but I don't. I did the first fashion show out of my own pocket and used the money I made touring to follow my passion."
Angela Lansbury is Turner Classic Movies' Star of the Month for January, and while she's appeared in a wide variety of projects, her name is practically synonymous with "Murder, She Wrote." (TCM, by the way, is owned by the same parent company as CNN.)
If you don't recall the series, "Murder, She Wrote" was an hour-long program about a mystery writer named Jessica Fletcher (Lansbury), who lived in Cabot Cove, Maine and regularly stumbled upon dead bodies.
The fact that she was rarely seen writing (outside of the opening), was hardly in Cabot Cove, and was almost never the one who found the body was never important.
“Top Chef: Texas” took a week off over the holidays so we could snipe and bicker with our relatives uninterrupted.
So on Wednesday night, it was good to be back alone, watching cheftestants snipe and bicker because zomg IT’S RESTUARANT BBQ PIT WARS!!
But before slathering themselves in the age-old Texas tradition, the chefs had an avant-garde Quickfire. Using modern food techniques, they created dishes for Nathan Myhrvold, who just collaborated on the cooking encyclopedia "Modernist Cuisine." So yeah, he’s not impressed by your faux caviar.
Zooey Deschanel has taken the next step in her breakup from husband Ben Gibbard and has filed for divorce.
The 31-year-old "New Girl" actress reportedly filed the paperwork on December 27 in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences." Their official split date has been reported as, interestingly enough, the same day Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her estranged husband Kris Humphries: October 31.
Deschanel's marriage to Gibbard lasted a bit longer than Kardashian's 72-day dalliance with matrimony, however, as the couple were married in 2009.
A rep for indie rocker Gibbard told CNN in November that the two had separated, with reports saying that their split was mutual and amicable. At the time, a source relayed to People magazine that the intent was to move toward divorce.
Nick Cannon is on the move after wife Mariah Carey revealed to fans Wednesday that he'd been hospitalized for a "mild kidney failure."
The 31-year-old actor and "America's Got Talent" host tweeted Wednesday that he's relocating from a hospital in Aspen, where the couple was vacationing with their twins, Monroe and Moroccan, and heading to a hospital in L.A.
He also reassured worried fans, writing, "Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me... I will be a'ight."
