Mario Lopez is ready to wedMario Lopez was ready to put a ring on it over the New Year's holiday, and is now engaged to girlfriend Courtney Mazza. The 38-year-old "Extra" host popped the question while in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, Mexico, on New Year's Day, his rep tells CNN. Lopez explained on "Extra," I've come to the realization that I'm never going to meet another woman as special and amazing as the one I have, and I think she's finally succumbed to my pressure and will take me," he laughed.
With his friend manning the home video camera and the (rumored to be $80,000) engagement ring in hand, Lopez took Mazza, with whom he has a one-year-old daughter, for a stroll on the beach. "I don't have anything necessarily prepared, I'm just going to speak from the heart," Lopez said. "The sun's almost setting, the family's there, so we're good to go." Although his actual proposal was kept off camera, Lopez and Mazza did emerge beaming, with Mazza showing off her engagement ring. "She said yes, however it took her a minute," Lopez joked. (Mazza explained that she was just in shock: "We were hugging and then the next thing I know, you're on your knee!") According to Us Weekly, the two plan to marry in Mexico sometime this year. Lopez was previously married to Ali Landry, but the 2004 nuptials were annulled after two weeks.

Yes, so they have a child together. It happens. Maybe they both wanted to take their time before taking a big step as marriage. Who won't want to take things slow. People seem to get stupid once they get marry and start putting the ball and chain on.
