Engaged Steven Tyler talks monogamyAs he gets ready for his third marriage, Steven Tyler says he's ready to change his ways. While chatting with Oprah Winfrey on her OWN show, "Oprah's Next Chapter," 63-year-old Tyler admitted that he's made some mistakes, but that it is possible to be a rock star and be monogamous. "Yes, it is [possible for me]," he told Winfrey. "I don't want to hurt anybody again. For all the divorces I've had, I hurt those girls deeply. It was some behavior that I'm ashamed of and I shouldn't've done." His fiancee Erin Brady, whom he's been with for seven years, says she's seen some of his wild ways. "I was on the road with him a long time, too," she says of the time she spent working as his accountant. "I saw him, I watched him, I saw how he behaved - badly, occasionally, here and there," the 38-year-old told Winfrey. But when it came to their relationship, Brady said she established this upfront: "I just said, hey, listen, if you play, I'm going to play - I just want to make that clear to you. And he didn't really like it, I think, when he was on the other side of that scenario." It doesn't look like Brady has anything to worry about, though. As Tyler told Winfrey, "I don't want to hurt another human being."

Wow I cant believe this. She has to threathen him to be faithful, how sad, Love suppose to take care of that. I feel she's after his money, to me is she really trying to cause a divide between steven and his family, so she can get all the money. I read at Christmas she was in Hawaii with her family, and steven. Where was his family. It seem they are always thrown under the bus. I also feel she most likely dated steven when he was married to his second wife Teresa. She said on Oprah they were together 7 years. OOPs! Steven was quiet about that one. Steven for once use your head and get a solid Pre-nup, and if you were even smarter you'd run for your life. Please stay off the drugs, because she'll have full control of your mind. You think you miss your mind now, wait till she's done with you.
way to go Steven..!!! i mean...yeah it is perfectly sane to be monogamous now that you are 60+ and your body doesnt feel the same as some 20 years ago... yeah sure...viagra works fine...but it could kill you also right? so...no more extra hard work for you, it is a very intelligent move...just the necessary to live...i sincerely...believe in you...! go ahead dude.. and take care of yourself....!!!

I remember when they place at a coffee house in Ipswich, Ma early 70's we listen to them on the banks of the river because we were too young to get in 1976 ish then to the Frolics on Salisbury Beach,MA .People were peeling the roof off the place to get in to see them (Love ya Teddy T and John Mc D.) Aerosmith is heavy metal?!?! Not hardy – they are plain, straight up rock. Heavy metal is Type O Negative, Pantera or Metallica. That's like saying the Stones are metal. If Aerosmith is too heavy stick to your easy listening music or country pop. Personally Steve Tyler is gorgeous even at 63. A man with long hair in a rockband just wins every time.
I think something people don't know to appreciate is blamelessness. Being able to look someone in the eye and know, "I've done you no wrong," is a pretty amazing thing. I was in a really intense relationship with my ex-girlfriend that could easily have visited the bedroom, but we were both strong Christians at the time and didn't want to go down that road. As it turned out, after four months (the first three of which were wonderful and blissful and had us talking marriage), things went south and we broke up. Years later I saw her again...with her new husband. As I shook her husband's hand I realized that, because I'd never had relations with my ex-girlfriend, her husband had nothing to hold against me for "getting there first," "shoplifting the pootie," etc., and it was an amazing, liberating feeling. There's so much BS and drama that goes on among people because of people having relations outside of marriage, but here there was only friendship and laughter and no hard feelings. I think people tend to think that everyone should be able to have relations with anyone, and no one should care, but the truth is that having relations with someone is the most intimate physical thing you can do with a person, and the only person who deserves that kind of intimacy with you is the person who has pledged his/her life to you and you alone. If people would just respect that one rule - "No relations outside of marriage" - the world would be a much better place (especially with the amazing reductions in STDs and unwanted pregnancies that would come from everyone following the rule).
Funny how a 63 year old man suddenly is deciding monogamy is a good thing. Looks like he's looking for someone to nurse him in the coming years.

I hope Steven Tyler mends his way. Okay its a cliche. Only time will tell. I think his daughter Live is a beauty and a fine actress as well. IMHO she looks somewhat like him. Maybe similarity attracts. At least for each other. I feel his heavy metal music is irrelevant here except I hope she likes listening to it. Erin Brady. I suppose she knew what she was getting in to. Iroy – You think he is sad for forcing his underage legal ward into a late term live birth abortion? This after she almost died in a fire when Stevens friend came to take her shopping and she woke in fire engulfed apt with all exits blocked?? I doubt it. If sad maybe he would not have lied about her in his books and left her in peace.
It could be age is catching up with him. He's 63, and may actually be looking for monogamy–or at least true love. Good luck to them both.
Among the regrets is his sadness for his girlfriend getting an abortion. If he has truly changed for the better, more power to him. It is true as you get older, you're supposed to "behave".
