Another celebrity death hoax surfaced on Monday, this time trying to claim the life of Jon Bon Jovi.
A blog item suggested that the 49-year-old musician had died in New Jersey Monday - a posting that the Los Angeles Times says looks awfully familiar to their 2009 story on Michael Jackson's death - but the report was certainly erroneous.
His rep confirmed this, sending out a statement that the singer is alive, well, and still actively attending charity events, as he did last night in Red Bank, New Jersey.
By Monday evening, Bon Jovi turned to Facebook with photographic proof that he was fine.
"Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey" he jokes in the photo, courtesy of a handmade sign. The caption for the image promised fans, "Rest assured that Jon is alive and well! This photo was just taken."
