Louis C.K. snags hosting duties at political gigGuess who's coming to dinner? None other than Louis C.K. The comedian has been selected as the featured speaker for the 68th Annual Radio & Television Congressional Correspondents' Dinner, to be held in June. According to a press release, the black tie event is "traditionally attended by the President, the Congressional Leadership, media executives, Capitol Hill broadcast journalists and prominent newsmakers." The comic is perhaps best known for his starring role in the FX original comedy series "Louie" and his stand-up work, which includes his recent comedy special, “Louis C.K.: Live at The Beacon Theater.” |

I like his show. But alot of the humor is shock humor Louie talks alot about very disgusting things. I don't think his image is good for a politcal party.
hes not supposed to represent a political party, the whole point of the event is for one day, a comedian gets to skewer politicians and the fawning media that report on politics and all they can do is look on, and in the morning try to pretend that what was said about them has no basis in "real americans" thought process. One night to speak truth to power, hes supposed to be the "anti"-image. thats the entire point.
No one will ever top this. Colbert at his best.

Yea that performance was classic. Political affiliations aside, you have to admit, Colbert destroyed that room.
Rather than to be one of those d!cks that comment who,I googled him his pretty funny you have to think when talks that's what I liked about him.
Love him. He's one of the best comedians out there right now.
I watched his show a few times and I don't get it. Jay Leno called his show the funniest thing out there. It is not. It's down right crude. Body functions are his main stay and he really has this anal thing. Can't stand him actually.
Oh, I'll bet THAT'LL go reeeeeeaaaaaal smooth!
