Friday's Top Five: Mall moviesThere are only 8 shopping days left to find holiday gifts, and less than that if your family will be frying latkes. As a result, your local shopping mall may be terrifyingly packed, and for many Americans, the thought of parking lots, bypassing kiosk salespersons, and dining at the food court isn’t high on the to-do list. Next to high school, the shopping mall is probably the most popular setting in the suburban genre. So if you’re set on fighting the crowds and can tolerate the offers to floss your eyebrows, I’d recommend watching some movies that have featured these suburban jungles. At least then you’ll have a better idea of what you’ll be getting yourself into before heading out. |
