Jen Garner: I would do anything for BenJennifer Garner gushes adorably about husband Ben Affleck in InStyle’s January 2012 issue. The 39-year-old actress, now pregnant with baby No. 3, looks fabulous on the cover. Unfortunately, she has some doubts about her mom-to-be body. See how Jennifer Garner's look has changed through the years “I wish I was one of those cute pregnant girls who wear skinny jeans throughout their pregnancies,” Garner tells InStyle. “But I just gain weight. I’m trying really hard to be mindful, but when I’m making the kids mac and cheese, I want it badly.”
She also doesn’t seem to care for husband Ben’s advice. “He says to me, ‘Just don’t have it.' I tell him, ‘I will come at your throat if you say, 'Don’t have it!’” Despite humorous mac and cheese disputes, Garner says her seven-year relationship with Affleck - with whom she has daughter Violet, 6, and Seraphina, who turns 3 next month - is going strong: “We both know we couldn’t do what we do without each other.” Jennifer Garner's best red carpet looks The actress reveals that appreciation is a big part of her successful marriage. “Ben always says, ‘If you love it, we can make it happen.’ … He has been amazing at finding ways of telling me how much he appreciates what I do. Honestly, I would do anything for that man, because I know it’s not taken for granted.” She’d do anything for Ben, but she's not a pushover! The “Butter” star says her therapist has helped her to learn how to fight when she needs to. “She kicked a little bit of the Southern girl out of me,” the actress shares. “She helped me to take charge a bit more, to not be so passive. She taught me to fight. I didn’t know how…. Ben and I aren’t big fighters. But there are times you have to have a hard talk. That’s a conversation I couldn’t have before. But now I can talk frankly in a way I couldn’t do—that’s pretty major.” |
