Liev Schreiber snags Showtime pilotLooks like another movie actor is moving to the small screen. Liev Schreiber will star in an upcoming Showtime pilot, Deadline reports. Schreiber, 44, will take on the titular character in “Ray Donovan,” which Deadline describes as a “dark family drama with comedic undertones.”
Created and executive-produced by “Southland” creator Ann Biderman, “Ray Donovan” centers on a Hollywood “fixer” who remedies confidential problems for A-listers, but struggles with his own family issues. The series will be the “Salt” actor’s second TV experience - in 2007, he did a four-episode arc on “CSI.” At the time, Schreiber cited a fear of contracts as his reason for steering clear of TV. “I have kind of a two-month attention span and I figured if I get locked into one of those, I would be dead,” he explained. |
