Ed O'Neill ready for 'Married' reunion“Modern Family” star Ed O'Neill is ready to reunite with the Bundys. E! News reports that the actor’s talking about a “Married ... with Children” reunion. "I was up for it! I said, 'Yeah, I'd do it,'" O'Neill, 65, shares of getting together with his former TV family. "It might be fun, but then everybody would have to be on board." The Fox sitcom aired for a whopping 11 seasons, and since it ended in 1997, most of the Bundys have moved on to other successful series.
Katey Sagal (who played wily wife Peggy) voices Leela on “Futurama,” had an arc on “Lost,” and now stars on FX series “Sons of Anarchy.” Christina Applegate (who portrayed ditzy daughter Kelly) had her own sitcom, “Samantha Who?,” and currently stars in NBC series “Up All Night.” David Faustino (slacker son Bud) hasn’t had as much luck, though he’s done guest spots on shows like “Entourage.” And of course, O'Neill plays patriarch Jay Pritchett on ABC’s “Modern Family.” Despite his enthusiasm to reconnect, O’Neill admits he doesn’t see Al Bundy coming back. "They keep talking about [a reunion], but I don't know,” he says. “I don't think so.” Luckily, O’Neill has an Emmy award-winning series to focus on. And, as his current TV wife Sofia Vergara points out, if he went back to playing Al Bundy, "[W]ho is going to be Jay?!" |

O'Neil is a really good actor...i can see him come back to the Bundy part all over again with no problem
BUNN-DEE! BUNN-DEE! BUNN-DEE!!!
Ed is a phenomenal actor, way underrated. He's capable of so much more than comedy, but does such a killer job in that genre as well. Modern Family is one of the, if not the, funniest shows on TV right now and he definitely is a big part of that successful formula. He's also got his BJJ blackbelt under Rorion Gracie, so keep kickin @ass, Ed!
I would love to see a reunion. That was a great show.
So what about Marcy?
I guess the dog won't be returning to the reunion... =(
Man.. I miss the Bundys
Only works for me if the original Steve returns too. -Art
Jefferson > Steve
Totally agree... Jefferson really made the show more interesting... Steve was just a square who needed to be removed.
