'Idol' alums deliver botched performances on Turkey Day

Thanksgiving wasn't very kind to two "American Idol" stars: Both season 10 winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina were critiqued for turning in head-scratching performances.

"The bigger than life reigning 'American Idol,'" as McCreery was introduced to the audience during yesterday's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, was aboard a parade float to sing "The Trouble With Girls."

But as his song started to play, McCreery stayed silent, gazing off into the distance and breaking the golden rule of lip-syncing: Stay on beat with the song so that you look like you're really singing it.

'Teen Mom 2' baby inspires clothing line

First came the baby, and then came the clothing line: E! News reports that “Teen Mom 2's” Kailyn Lowry has announced the launch of a children's clothing line inspired by her baby son Isaac.

Kailyn announced The Isaac Elliott Collection by Little Miss Cupcake on her website (which also mentions she’s working on a book). The line’s ads, featuring 22-month-old Isaac, just hit Facebook.

In a photo touting the Black & Red Christmas Tux Onesie, Isaac poses amidst fake flowers and a satiny curtain background.

Friday's Top Five: Thanksgiving movies

Turkey Day is officially over for most Americans, but the holiday has only just begun in my household.

I have another Cajun-injected, deep-fried turkey waiting to be carved, a slew of great football waiting to be watched, and my favorite Thanksgiving movies to extend the celebration.

Of course, we still have some weeks left before really having to confront the annual post-holiday season depression. But to keep the spirit of excess and thankfulness from fading, take comfort on Black Friday with this week’s list. It’s dedicated to movies related to carving the turkey.
