NBC making puppet comedy with Jim Henson Co.The Muppet revival seems to be spreading. Perhaps inspired by the new “Muppets” movie, Deadline reports that NBC has ordered a sitcom script that stars creations from The Jim Henson Company. “The New Nabors,” Deadline says, will explore the humorous "repercussions" of a human family living next door to a puppet family. The shenanigans that would ensue, we can only imagine. The Jim Henson Company helped develop “The New Nabors." Its Creature Workshop has created puppets for TV shows such as “Dinosaurs"and "Sesame Street", and, of course, they’re behind the most famous puppet characters, the Muppets. “The Muppets” movie, starring Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie and the rest of the gang along with Jason Segel and Amy Adams, opens Wednesday. |

It sounds to me like new puppet characters, and not the Muppets? Though I suppose NBC is probably willing to try out anything at this point – if the show is picked up, I'll definitely tune in to the pilot to see what it's like!
Is miss piggy still losing weight ?
