Jimmy Fallon apologizes to Bachmann"Late Night" host Jimmy Fallon has apologized for Monday's so-called spontaneous decision to play Fishbone's "Lyin' Ass B**ch" as the intro song for Monday's guest Michele Bachmann. The Roots drummer Questlove, whose band plays on the late night program, seemed to hint to his Twitter followers before Republican presidential candidate Bachmann's appearance that "late night devotees" should pay attention. "You love it when we snark: this next one takes the cake. ask around cause i aint tweeting title," he posted. After it was revealed that the intro song was the aforementioned Fishbone track, Questlove said in a statement that the performance was tongue-in-cheek and "spur of the moment," and that if he hurt Bachmann's feelings, he felt bad. Fallon later added his own apology to his guest, after tweeting that Questlove is "grounded."

Invite someone on your show and disrespect them is low, no matter who they are. More worthless people using there platform for the King and Queen reelection. What ever happened to respect.

The drummer can't carry her briefcase much less really debate her over the issues facing this country. Who's the better citizen to make this country better? The drummer gets all his news from the TODAY show, probably has never picked up a Wall Steet Journal in his life. Who has more class? If any of the younger generation follows this punk, they should think again and pay attention to the real heroes of our nation. That is if they'd like to see our nation actually improve as opposed to spinning out of control due to handouts and lack of general manners and respect. You're hilarious dude, start reading!!!

This is nothing. Imagine the public outcry and the media feeding frenzy if that had been Michelle Obama instead of Michelle Bachmann. Everyone would have been fired, for sure!
Isnt anyone else tired of everyone saying whatever they want and when someone objects or calls them on it someone screeches FREEDOM OF SPEECH? Sure we have the 1st Amendment but to exercise it requires some sense of self control and respect to others. There are tactfully acceptable and civilized ways to call someone names.
Another example of how the our society continues to move away from civility and manners and go out to disrespect anyone who they don't like. He should be fired, pure and simple. NBC owes her an apology. This would have never happened even 20 years ago. From this to NASCAR fans booing the First Lady. Its just wrong and inappropriate.

It seems that Mr. Fallon might have to tighten the reins on his show and the material used. He likely wasn't aware that his band was planning such a thing. I guess they'll need to turn in a song list prior to the show now and have it all approved. I don't think that the band should automatically be fired but be warned that anything else like that will result in termination immediately.
Granted, I do think Bachmann is really off by even dignifying this with a response. To whine about it really doesn't work. She already got the apology for Fallon, and the Roots look like idiots. Fallon looks pretty dumb too for not knowing what his employees are doing. If anybody really wins in this situation, it's likely Fishbone.

What a bunch of cowards, Jimmy Fallon and his band are. Jimmy Fallon and/or his band should be fired for this. Nobody deserves to be treated like this. Shows you what a no talent coward poor excuse for a drummer/band leader this guy is for tweeting about it and then doing such a cowardly immature act. Doesn't matter what race or political party you support. Nobody should be treated like this.
If NBC doesn't fire the band and/or Jimmy Fallon then people should boycott NBC and the sponsors of this show.
Let NBC and Jeff Zucker know this is not acceptable for anyone to be treated like this by a bunch of cowards.

I live in Puerto Rico. Jimmy Falon comes on too late for us to watch it here. We get all three networks but he is on too late.

Well, she is a liar. That has be proven over and over again. She's hardly a worthy candidate for President. Don't apologize JF or Roots. FREEDOM OF SPEECH is protected by the first amendment. Most people in the US think she's a joke. People need to lighten up and take a joke. Last I checked, this isn't Nazi-America. It's not slander if it's true.
