Recent Nielsen TV ratings reveal some interesting nuggets about who is watching what, and it turns out “Modern Family” has the wealthiest demographic, reports New York magazine's Vulture. (You won't catch the wealthy watching Fox's “Cops,” though - it's the show rich people like the least.)
Meanwhile, teens love Fox (they watch “Family Guy,” “American Dad,” “Glee” and “New Girl” in droves), and hate NBC (they only watch “The Office” on that network). However, the Peacock Network boasts the most-educated viewers.
And while many shows skew either male or female, “Two and a Half Men” is the No. 2 show on TV among both sexes.
As for the lowest-rated network show overall, that title goes to the CW's “Gossip Girl.”
NBC is the channel for snotty east cost wealthy urbanites with first world problems – hence their love for zany but sophisticated comedy that no one could really relate too..
That being said I watch the office, parks and rec and community. :P But NBC needs to stop making shows for their local NYC buddies and actually make shows that regular joes might care about.
I don't watch either of those shows... so I must be middle-class.
If you're not watching Community and Parks & Rec, God help you.
Agreed. Both of those are consistently funnier than The Office (not that I don't absolutely love The Office).
Im poor and I H8 cops. They put people in jail.
props to gossip girl for starting a trend to which it is unfortunately no longer really a part of.
