Kelly Ripa signs on for five more years at 'Live!'As “Live! With Regis and Kelly” co-host Regis Philbin gets ready to retire next week, Kelly Ripa has committed to five more years with the show, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Kelly’s signed a “lucrative” five-year deal with Disney-ABC Domestic Television, which will go into effect next fall. The additional five years will give Ripa, 41, a total of 16 fun-filled years with “Live!” How time flies. Execs are looking to fill 80-year-old Philbin's spot as co-host on the morning chat show, but a source tells THR that "No decision has been made yet."
Personalities reportedly considered include Ryan Seacrest and Bravo's Andy Cohen. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves - Ripa's current co-host still has another week! Philbin will have a star-studded send-off, with next week's guests including David Letterman, Donald Trump, Jimmy Fallon and his old partner, Kathie Lee Gifford.

i think mario lopez could do it also..it will smooth out that voice of kelly ripa's...it goes right through me also.
The show won't be the same without Regis. But if I could choose I think Mario Lopez would be a great replacement.

The show will die soon after Regis leaves. No one will wish to take the abuse Kelly gives Regis on a daily basis. She constantly interrupts Regis and guests with how any topic effects her and her family. Kathy Lee did the same schtick and no one misses her at all. I am woman, hear me bore!!!

i agree..regis is the whole show...even now..he's the whole show..when he's gone we'll be saying he was the whole show...regis is professional, i met him in person, he treats his fans like a millions bucks...we'll miss your reege..kelly not sure if she will be able to handle it...
