Time flies when you’re… a celebrity.
Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to jail after violating her probation on a necklace theft conviction. However, the “Mean Girls” actress only served about four hours of her 30-day sentence. (She was released early Monday morning.)
But Lohan isn’t the only celeb to benefit from an overcrowded jail:
Nicole Richie was arrested for her second DUI in 2006. Richie, who admitted to taking Vicodin and smoking marijuana before driving the wrong way on a Los Angeles freeway, served 82 minutes of her four-day sentence in 2007. She was pregnant with her first child at the time.
After violating the terms of her probation from a 2006 DUI, Paris Hilton was sentenced to serve 45 days in jail in 2007. She ended up only serving 23 days.
Khloe Kardashian was arrested for driving under the influence in 2007. Kardashian was sentenced to 30 days in jail in 2008, but was released after a few hours.
Michelle Rodriguez has had her fair share of driving related charges, including a 2005 DUI that violated the terms of her probation from a prior incident. She was sentenced to 60 days in jail, but was released the same day. However, when she failed to complete her community service by 2007, she was sentenced to 180 days in jail – 18 of which she served.
And then there’s poor Keifer Sutherland. The “24” actor served his entire seven-week sentence for a 2007 DUI.
