In his latest film, Leonardo DiCaprio is taking on a controversial man from history: John Edgar Hoover.
DiCaprio is certainly going all out for this role, even donning prosthetic makeup to look more like Hoover. But will his efforts reap box office - and, perhaps, Oscar - benefits?
Clint Eastwood’s “J. Edgar” will be coming to US theaters this Wednesday, November 9. Here’s what else you shouldn’t miss this week:
Sunday
- Look out for new episodes of “The Simpsons” and “Family Guy” on Fox because there will be two very special guest stars. On “The Simpsons” at 8 p.m., Jane Lynch will voice Homer’s new assistant at work. On “Family Guy” at 9 p.m., Ryan Reynolds voices a character who becomes obsessed with Peter.
Monday
- Melissa McCarthy is on “The Late Show with David Letterman” at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS, while Taylor Lautner heads to “Jimmy Kimmel Live” at 12 a.m. ET on ABC.
Tuesday
- New episodes of “Glee” and “New Girl” will be coming to Fox, and romance is in the air. Finn and Rachel are thinking about having their “first time,” and Jess starts to suspect that Nick wants to be more than friends. Watch these new episodes at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET.
- Books to look out for include “11/22/63” by Stephen King, which focuses on a time-traveling adventure to prevent the JFK assassination.

Wednesday
- Jason Lee will make his first appearance as a recurring character on “Up All Night" tonight at 8 p.m. on NBC.

Saturday

Didn't know u guys missed me! Lol
Who iz they bsides Starfire ?
It was kind of funny when he got beat up several weeks back, though. He seems to have little guy complex.
IMO topher grace sure has turnd out to be an unlikeable person and cruddy actor. I watched the new wall street movie yesterday. He was pretty terrible in it. Badly misscast.
Sounds like an awesome week to me ! Doooooodie everywhere !
Jezebeth = FUA
Just saw the movie "50/50", after all the ranting great reviews. This movie is a dud. Maybe dvd-worthy at best. And who is paying Seth Rogan to co-star as the same drunk fratboy type unfunny obnixious moronic character...in so many movies? He is an awful actor and even worse comedian. -Art
I saw "Tower Heist" this weekend. I thought it was good. I do hope to see more of Eddie Murphy in movies. He still has it and he had me lol. @ Evel.. you should check it out. Slide (Eddie Murphy)...I thought of your crazy azz....had me lmao.
Finally!!!! The final Harry Poter!!!
Can't say I'm all that excited about this week ahead...I would rather do almost anything than watch Leo squint extra hard and speak with that accent for 2+ hours
He's a total Oscar chaser, I miss the good old days when he was on Growing Pains

Don't be disheartened, friend. The darkest hour is just before the dawn.
Average people sure get tired and disheartened sometimes though. Guess we are lucky to even have jobs now in this era where stockbrokers and corp execs run the world and profit is all that matters.
11 11 11 will be friday I think. I hope we all make it until then and our work week wont be too much worse than heck. May your week be super happy and wonderful and really really good.
The week ahead ...the roasting of a Starrfire...again!
Admit it, as much of an insignificant tool as starrfire is you miss her. Don't give them any mention or credit... so they can go away.
