Lady Gaga covers $1,500 magazine

Leave it to supersize star Lady Gaga to break magazine records. Billboard reports that the larger-than-life pop singer currently graces the cover of the world’s largest magazine.

Art magazine Visionaire’s LARGER THAN LIFE issue is an astounding 5 feet by 7 feet, and features Lady Gaga on the back and cover. The over-the-top issue has an over-the-top price to match: it runs $1,500!

(The less-impressive standard size (36 inches by 49.48 inches) will cost Monsters just $375.)

Shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the cover features Lady Gaga as an oily-looking mermaid with a gooey tail.

Gaga says of the image, “There is no oil too thick as to destroy the imagination."

This giant issue is apparently the largest ever; according to Visionaire, issue #61 has been certified by the Guinness World Records company as being the largest magazine ever produced.

While it’s the largest, the $1,500 issue is shockingly not the most expensive! According to the Guinness World Records website, art publication Nomenus Quarterly went for $6,500 an issue in 2009. (Ironically, the ridiculously expensive magazine’s website currently features an article about Occupy Wall Street.)

Gaga fans in the 1 percent can purchase Visionaire at the Visionaire Gallery in New York City and at visionaireworld.com.

another excess of those than can rather than feed and clothe the homeless that live all around us. This idea, or should I say the "waste" of this whole concept is selfish.
