Taylor Lautner's name may be synonymous with "Twilight" for now, but the teen star is broadening his horizons. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Taylor’s snagged a role in an upcoming Gus Van Sant film.
Sources tell the Hollywood Reporter that Lautner is finalizing a deal with director Van Sant ("Good Will Hunting," "Milk") to make a low-budget film. And it gets better: The indie movie is based on a nonfiction article published in The New Yorker that 19-year-old Taylor optioned.
The arthouse attempt could take Taylor’s career in a totally different direction. Famous for flicks like “Twilight” and the poorly received “Abduction,” Lautner is attached to upcoming projects like Fox sci-fi movie “Incarceron” and Universal’s toy-based “Stretch Armstrong.”
Speaking of “Twilight,” catch Taylor in “Breaking Dawn - Part 1,” which hits theaters November 18.
Actually the opening of this new film is already in YouTube:
Any normal person's GAYDAR goes off the dial when seeing this pillowbiter, taylor lautner. He's a talentless hack.
I would tie him to the pier for high tide and let the fishes nibble at him
Love to see him in this new movie. All the best for this movie.....
His inability to draw on his own proves that Twilight was more about the story (as sad as that sounds!) than him or his co-actors.
i'm no twilight fan, but i do have to admit he's a good looking guy.
@portalpunk: you are a one-trick pony. the best thing I can say about you is that you're not tracie.
I'm not much of Lautner fan, but then I'm not in his demographic, but you have to give the guy some credit. He's gone from nearly being recast in the second film to being a guy who options his own stories and is headlining films before he's 21!
Being that Van Sant and Sharkboy are both gay, this should be a magical film.
I like the cut of your jib, well said.
