Michelle Williams: Why I keep my hair short

According to the new issue of British Elle, Michelle Williams has a good reason for keeping her pixie hairstyle. The actress seems to suggest to the magazine that her cropped cut is a memorial of her ex, the late Heath Ledger, according to the U.K.'s Telegraph.

The “My Week With Marilyn” star graces the cover of British Elle's December issue, and spills on her signature style and the sentimental reason behind it.

“I've really grown into it - I feel like myself with short hair,” Michelle says of her blonde pixie. “And it's been a really long time since I had long hair, five years.”

'Forced Family Fun' on 'Parenthood'

The title of this week's episode of "Parenthood"  is "Forced Family Fun," but they very well could have stopped at "Forced Family."  I'm not sure anyone had any fun.

That's not to say Kristina didn't try. She made chocolate chip pancakes for a special “we can take the baby out of the house” breakfast, which everyone but the baby bailed on. You could feel the epic Kristina meltdown getting closer every minute.

And after they piled into the car to go to mini golf, there it was: Mini-Van Maxi Meltdown!

MTV buys J. Lo's new show

Jennifer Lopez is stepping into yet another career. According to the Hollywood Reporter, MTV has ordered a comedy series script from J. Lo.

The singer-producer’s Latina-focused program follows Lina Molina, a recent NYU grad facing grim economic prospects. Lina moves back home with her eccentric Mexican family in suburban Texas.

Writer Grace Parra (“Work It,” “Jonas”) will pen the half-hour comedy, which comes from Lopez’s television production company, Nuyorican Productions. The “American Idol” judge has previously produced MTV series “DanceLife” as well as a mini-series broadcast on Univisión.

She's also got a reality talent competition series called "Q'Viva" in the works, which is expected to bow in the States next year on Univisión.

Ricki Lake on 'Business,' 'Dancing' and her new show

Despite landing on top on Monday's "Dancing With the Stars," Ricki Lake swears she's the dance competition's underdog.

"I'm just really glad I'm still in it," Lake told CNN ahead of Monday night's show. "I think the war hero [J.R. Martinez] is going to be very tough to beat. Not only is he a great guy, he’s one of the most resilient people I’ve ever met in my life and he has a smile that lights up the world. And he’s a natural born dancer."

Lake had been busy prepping for the paso doble routine with her acclaimed "DWTS" partner Derek Hough, but that's far from all the 43-year-old star has going on at the moment.

A time of change for 'Covert Affairs'

Our little summer obsession is back in the fall.

"Covert Affairs" returned on Tuesday with an incredible chase in Venice - where Annie lost an important package - before jumping right into a new mission.

This one, involving a chef she's been flirtatious with who also has ties to a Basque separatist group, was one of the more interesting missions so far this season.

Kris Jenner: Kim's marriage wasn't a sham

Right after her daughter Kim wrote an open letter to her fans saying she married Kris Humphries for love, not money, mom Kris Jenner went on the "Today" show to confirm that her daughter's 72-day marriage was real.

"It certainly wasn't a sham, [and it] certainly wasn't for TV. We have enough going on on our show that we don't have to make things up," she told Ann Curry Wednesday. "[Kim] felt that she was in love with him. It was an amazing time...I had no idea there was a problem at the time. It saddens all of us."

Kris Jenner also denies that the rights to Kim's marriage were purchased by E! for a rumored $17  million. "Not true," she says. "We profited, or she profited from the wedding? Absolutely false." OK, there's a clarification:
