Similar to fellow actor Lucy Liu, Johnny Depp doesn't keep his talents limited to the screen.
The actor was in Austin, Texas over the weekend to attend the Austin Film Festival, where he received the Extraordinary Contribution to Acting Award, reports the Austin Chronicle.
While in town, Depp also popped up at the local University of Texas campus, the Paramount Theatre - and on stage at the Continental Club to play guitar with Bill Carter and the Blame and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons. People magazine reports that the venue was filled to triple the capacity, but the cramped dwellings didn't interrupt the experience. According to People, the crowd ate up the 90 minute show.
Those in attendance at Austin's film fest also got to see a screening of Depp's "The Rum Diary," which opens in theaters this weekend.
