Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon show off #DemBabiesAfter months of being withheld from the public eye, Mariah Carey's twins with Nick Cannon are stealing the spotlight. Not only did Monroe and Moroccan Scott Cannon (or Roc and Roe, as their parents call them) do primetime on Friday with ABC's "20/20," they're also featured on a website called DemBabies.com. Mariah and Nick posted a note on the website explaining that they "deliberated for so long about how to reveal the first pictures of our babies to the world." The answer was to forgo the typical celebrity magazine cover/spread and post personal snapshots of the twins, including one of the family dressed up as "The Incredibles," on their own site. Proceeds from sales of the images go to the Fresh Air Fund's Camp Mariah.
But if you tuned in to "20/20" Friday, you've already seen a glimpse of the nearly six-month-old twins, who were born on April 30 - also the couple's third wedding anniversary. Mariah and Nick opened up to Barbara Walters on the ABC News show about their relationship and their struggles conceiving. Carey, 42, became pregnant with the twins following a miscarriage, and she says she did use fertility treatments. "The main thing I did, that was tough, was go on progesterone every month," she said. "And then when I was pregnant, I had to stay with the progesterone for 10 weeks. It minimizes the chance of miscarriage by 50 percent." Although the pregnancy was a momentous occasion, Nick chimed in, it was also a scary one. "I don’t think I understood the enormity and the magnitude of what it does to your body," Mariah said. "Unless somebody’s been through it, it’s difficult to understand what I’ve been through." Now on the other side of that tough period, Mariah and Nick emphasized that their abode is one filled with love. "My family gives me everything," Nick said. "Unconditional love means the world to me. It’s completion."
