George R.R. Martin reveals fave 'Thrones' actors

Writer George R.R. Martin didn’t just create the books behind HBO series “Game of Thrones,” he’s also highly involved in the small screen adaptation.  New York Magazine's Vulture got the famous fantasy author to spill on which actors he thinks are really working for the show.

It turns out Martin, 63, has a few top choices. “Certainly Peter Dinklage did an amazing job with Tyrion, who is one of my favorite characters in the books,” the author reveals, adding, “we always wanted Sean [Bean] and he was incredible in that role.”

Martin also praises the show’s “three terrific" child actors.

From the moment Disney’s Steamboat Willie short enthralled audiences back in 1928, cartoons have been an indelible part of American culture. We couldn’t get enough of these whimsical animations, many of which reflected uplifting cartoon escapades.

Not today, however. In honor of Charlie Brown's annual return to TV next week with "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," we're celebrating the top five animated anomalies who weren't made of rainbows and cheer.

Bigelow's Bin Laden movie pushed back?

Kathryn Bigelow’s upcoming hunt-for-bin Laden film was reportedly scheduled to be released next October, right before the presidential election.

But The New York Times is reporting that the movie may not actually come out until 2013.

Sources say Sony might bump the as-yet-untitled movie back after next year's presidential election, and potentially even to 2013.

'Grey's' creator Shonda Rhimes on her upcoming 'Scandal'

You might think hit ABC shows “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Private Practice” would keep creator/producer Shonda Rhimes too busy to do anything else, but think again.

The Emmy-nominated producer will soon debut a new drama on ABC called “Scandal,” which is slated to be a mid-season replacement show in early 2012.

During a recent set visit, Rhimes admits that "three shows are hard, and it is much harder than two shows." But, she goes on, "'Grey’s Anatomy' is in its eighth season, and 'Private Practice' is in its fifth. So if I don’t have those shows running well by now, then I never will.”
