Justin Bieber's not the only one with a holiday album on the way. Actress/singer Zooey Deschanel is getting into the Christmas spirit, reports Pitchfork.
Deschanel’s been collaborating with singer-songwriter M. Ward for a couple years under the moniker She & Him, and the stars have a festive project coming out very soon.
You’ll have plenty of time to sing along with Christmas hits like “Silver Bells” and “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” because the indie duo is releasing “A Very She & Him Christmas” well ahead of the holidays. The album, featuring 12 holiday classics, will hit stores on October 25.
Zooey, 31, also showcases her vocal talents in The Fabric of Our Lives cotton campaign. And the "New Girl" star has another musical tie: She's married to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard.
Emma Watson is heading back to college, but not just any college: Us Weekly reports the British actress is starting classes at the prestigious Oxford University for her third year of school.
"You might not hear from me for a while because I will be really busy studying, but I wanted to just say hi and goodbye," Watson, 21, posted on her blog.
The actress, famous for her long-running role as Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” films, has been attending Brown University, but is going back to her native England for her third year “abroad.”
Today's news you might've missed:
Following his serenade from Lady Gaga, former U.S. President Bill Clinton is showing more pop culture panache with a Funny or Die comedy sketch that premiered Saturday.
The five-minute video, “Clinton Foundation: Celebrity Brainstorm,” was shown at the Hollywood Bowl during Saturday’s concert benefiting the William Jefferson Clinton Foundation. Comedy web site Funny or Die posted the video at midnight on Tuesday.
The sketch sees the Clinton Foundation’s Celebrity Division (Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Matt Damon, Sean Penn, Kristen Wiig, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen) brainstorming ideas for the organization.
After a few teases and a handful of controversy, Britney Spears has tweeted a link to the video for her single "Criminal."
Some in the U.K. were not pleased with her wielding a firearm, but there are more fiery things happening in the clip. After a brief acting interlude (why, yes, Britney, we DO remember "Crossroads"!) and a perfume promo, her real-life man Jason Trawick saves Spears from her awful significant other, and Spears runs off with the criminally-minded Clyde to her Bonnie.
As she croons "Mama I'm in love with a criminal," we see Spears brandish her weapon in a robbery and then find herself in a shower with Trawick. Till the cops come knocking, indeed.
Have you seen the video? What'd you think?
“Twilight” trio Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner are getting some recognition in Hollywood: The three will cast their hand and footprints in the cement outside La La Land's famous Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
According to a release, the ceremony will happen the morning of November 3, which is just a few weeks before the debut of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.”
Twihards outside of Los Angeles can still participate in the action from afar; the ceremony will be broadcast live via streaming video on ChineseTheatres.com.
