Sean Penn trash talks the Tea Party

Sean Penn is not a fan of the Tea Party movement.

The actor/activist shared his opinions of the political group on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” - and he didn’t hold back.

During his interview on Friday, Penn implied that Tea Partiers are motivated by racism, and want President Barack Obama out of office because he’s black. "You have what I call the ‘Get the N-word out of the White House party,’ the Tea Party,” said the actor.

Calling the Tea Party a “distraction” from the upcoming presidential election, Penn painted a mental picture of the conservative group’s feelings toward Obama: “At the end of the day, there's a big bubble coming out of their heads, saying, 'Can we just lynch him?’"

Penn isn’t the only celebrity to call the Tea Party racist.

Morgan Freeman told Piers Morgan (on a previous show) that he believes the Tea Party’s mentality is “Screw the country. We're going to do whatever we do to get this black man … outta here." He added that the Tea Party’s opposition to Obama is “a racist thing.”

According to a poll by the Hollywood Reporter, Freeman’s comments may have affected ticket sales of his current movie, “A Dolphin Tale.”

Alan Cumming has also criticized the group on “Piers.” Last month he accused the movement of being motivated by "homophobia and racism."

On the other side, celebrities like Jon Voight, Donald Trump and Ted Nugent support the Tea Party.

The tea party is the updated version of the Ku Klux Klan. They are a racist, totally unethical and vindictive group who judging by the way they treat this president should be wearing white sheets. They claim patriotism, but are totally un-American and if asked to fight a foreign war like what George W started, would run the other way with their tail between their legs. Ever notice that there are no African American tea partiers? They are mostly comprised of old white people who appear to be inbred.

These anti-whites only care about making The West NON-WHITE via mass immigration and forced "assimilation".

Anti-whites are using "anti-racism" as a justification for white geNOcide.

    Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

so the tea party chooses to hide its racism by making herman cain president of the united states? I'm pretty politically moderate, but it just seems crazy that if they were so inherently racist they would make a black man from the south the most powerful man in the world. i just don't buy it

Just wondering, if the Tea Party eventually throws its weight behind Herman Cain, will all these ignorant Hollywood celebs apologize about summing up their entire movement as racist? Probably not. Because, as is usual for liberals, if you're black, but CONSERVATIVE, you're not really black. Just like with Palin back in '08....if you're a conservative, you're not REALLY a woman. Or at least they only care for the 'glass ceiling' to be broken only when the one doing it is a liberal African-American or woman. Hard to figure out why this hypocracy is not pointed out more often.

We have the highest standard of living of all the industrialized nations and i wouldn't sacrifice that for all the tea in China, or wine in France, or snow in Canada with this idea of shared sacrifice where someone decides what your fair share is. This concept of deciding what your fair share is, is best left for those laggard nations that take care of their citizens like children.

You and Karl Marx would have gotten along very well; your descriptions and cure for the ills that ail our society only enforces my assertion that the roots of our problems are all traced back to America’s match making of the business Community with Ideological Applications and Government over reach… America, how’s that ideological “a chicken in every pot’ working out. It’s all a consequence of cause and effect. At a point in history American leaders thought it knew better than what the original founders intended and started to tinker with the framework; the effect being the lower classes still searching for that “chicken in every pot” while the political Class lives “High on the Hog”. Only a comedian would assert that Government could afford all those chickens …LOL

Be glad our leaders fell short in their attempts to integrate these ideological concepts to there fullest otherwise we would have had further breakdown of the classes, there would have been further breakdown of our financial system, we would be just like the rest of the laggard nations in the world, and your complaints would have substance. Warning; if these ideological Demigods continue to exert Governance over that which they have no clue; society will never clean up its act

Again I suggest OWS direct their anger where they can have the best effect; Washington DC, for it is they who create economic policy and the environment our business community has to work within. And I also STRONGLY suggest that they demand their elected officials have the capacity and intelligence to understand the industry/Society they TINKER with and dictate policy to; Statistical fact: Only 20% of Congress has any business or economic experience to qualify as policy maker in this regard. Government Housing Policy created the environment we all are experiencing, which led to the Banking Failure and eventual bailouts. A direct result of ideological application, Governing incompetence, and ignorance on a social grand scale

Open Letter to Mr Sean Penn
    Mr. Penn
I see now, since my bubble popped, that Liberal Democrats, Progressives, as they are called, Progressive of what – I don’t know, are just Intellectual Frauds raised on narratives and innuendo; children, having no mature conscience of how the real world works. Now I know Kids naturally like to play make-believe, and that studies have now shown how imaginative play may be useful in preparing kids for the real world, such as yourself and your fellow progressives, but do we really need to play with real money and the future of real American lives before a transition to adulthood has taken place? Shouldn’t make-believe games include some sort of lessons about numbers, colors, shapes, vocabulary, and reading first? Researchers have found that children, who first take this approach, make significant gains in readiness skills, as compared to a control group that did not learn these lessons. Yes, playing make – believe might be the fun approach to the real world for progressives, but only if done in a responsible manner. In the future, please leave the real world to the adults or as at such time you and the progressives make significant gains in readiness skills toward that final transition!

Okay, seriously Penn is an absolute moron along with all the other "Hollywood" liberal idiots that have no clue at all what they're talking about. The worst part is that young people actually listen to their ramblings and blindly believe it just cause they're "stars". People like him ruin this country. So the tea party is racist but they strongly support Herman Cain lol? Beyond idiotic.

If they just thought for a millisecond before opening their mouths they would realize how stupid they really are. Basically, all liberals are doing now is insulting conservatives, and blaming everyone else for Obamas failures. It's still all Bush's fault right liberals? The American people want Obama out because he's the worst president ever NOT cause he's black. He's done nothing about immigration, all his policies have failed, our economy is in the tank, unemployment, etc. Do they just want to constantly be in denial?

I guess when you realize you've been wrong about everything and have nothing more to say you just gotta get desperate and do something stupid like play the race card. Truly sad and pathetic. Sadly, the liberal mainstream media lets Obama get away with everything and let idiots like Penn pollute America with their moronic opinions.

The fundamental problem with the Country is our Economic Stability; but what we must comprehend (especially The Tea Party) is while the 1% wealthy are controlling our money (i.e. fees & taxes) into policies & regulations that only benefit objectives for the Wealthy; consequently and simultaneously, are destroying the working class by not investing anything into our Social Security or Disability Social Security, Health Care Management, Education, Municipals (i.e. Roads, Public Buildings & Bridges), which all result an affect in the production of Jobs & increase of Salary; Though even more sinister, is They have to gotten us, The 99%, which consist of Lower-middle Class, Middle Class & the Upper-middle Class to fight among ourselves thru Fear & Greed tactics & propaganda. (Side note:The Poor live On or Below the Poverty Line subsequently are not counted within the 99%) The 1% Wealthy live by the creed "I can hire one-half of the working class to kill the other half" -first stated by Robber Baron (an Unethical Business Man) Jay Gould, the 9th richest American ever- IF they, the 1% wealthy, go on with their covetous practices the United States Economic Structure will collapse and turn it into that of a 3rd World Country's, where the only Economic levels that exist are Rich & Poor. No Lower-middle Class, No Middles Class, No Upper-middle Class, in essence, NO WORKING CLASS! Tell the Tea Party to WAKE UP! and get on the right side, stop being used as Pasties by the Rich.

If you’re going to compare the Tea Party Movement and occupy wall street you may need to look a little deeper into it than that. Tea party... Funded, put on, tour bused across the USA by FOX NEWS!!! The entire party's movement was born by a 24 hour news network looking to fill time, create stories and radicalize their view ship one town at a time. The people who are the tea party are older, under informed, middle to lower middle class white Americans. They have over spent their selves, racked up tons of debit, saved next to nothing for retirement, and most likely work in an industry that is either dyeing, being or been out source "because anyone with two arms anywhere in the world could do it for much cheaper". The tea party has some merits don't get me wrong, fiscal conservatism is GOOD! We need this in order to move forward and prosper as a nation. But we also need, social programs, gay rights, affordable medical care, so on and so forth. I'm all for giving states more power "which is in the original manifesto of the tea party”. But screaming, being racist "such as plaquers at their rallies", and most importantly being under informed, let me state that again UNDER INFORMED!!! This is their biggest down fall. Most of these people still think it was Iraq's fault for 911. If anyone try’s to argue otherwise, your wrong, and this conversation has already well over you mental capacity. As for Occupy wall street, this movement has no direction yet because it wasn't invented and or advertised by a multibillion dollar news organization. They have no leader. If anything the tea party should be jumping onboard with this movement. Its not a right wing thing, its not a left wing thing its a 99% of everyone in this country thing. That’s what makes this movement different form the tea party. Is stating that in it very wide none directional way. But to tell you the truth I would rather see this way, then have Glen Beck with his attention hungry face all over it. If you live in the USA or even better on mother earth and aren’t making millions as a ceo or executive than this movement is for you.

Would it be fair me to throw out an accusation that all democrats are under 25 lazy socialists who are all gay baby killers and would prefer to suckle off the proverbial breast of those who actually want to work for a living? Of course not, because most of the democrats are very similar to most of the republicans and just want to make America a better place. Vip, is it? If you're representative of our military, it's no wonder these wars (started by Bush) drag out for so long. Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with 9/11. Are we occupying Libya? Does someone have to read to you?

The idiot is YOU. President Barack Obama saved the US automobile industry, then he saved Wall Street. His stimulus package created 1.9 million jobs and he gave us the affordable health care law. He killed Osama Bin Laden and a half dozen other al Qaeda functionaries. President Barack Obama is the most successful president since FDR and that's while a do-nothing GOP controlled the House. Mark Montgomery NYC, NY boboberg@nyc.rr.com

"Even though no Iraqis were involved, and there is no proof Saddam was behind it, the attack on the World Trade Center provides Cpl Richardson and many others with the justification for invading Iraq.

'There’s a picture of the World Trade Center hanging up by my bed and I keep one in my Kevlar [flak jacket]. Every time I feel sorry for these people I look at that. I think, ‘They hit us at home and, now, it’s our turn.’ I don’t want to say payback but, you know, it’s pretty much payback.'”

Who really gives a flying crap anyway about what Sean Penn says. He is just some hollywood has-been with nothing else to do. If he really cared about this country, he would enlist in the military and do some good. All he does is stir up problems, and in response to him, I DO NOT personally want Obama out of the White House because he is black. I want him out because he is worthless.

Since when does being in the military get you more news? I've never heard of such a thing. If anything you probably get less, and more filtered news than anyone. The fact that you are STILL relating Iraq to 9/11 tells me your news info isn't up to par with the rest of us. And if voting for Obama makes me an idiot, what would voting for Romney or Cain make me? An ignorant idiot?

      1) Never said anything about Hussien
      2) never said that we went into Iraq because of 9/11. Misinterrpret me again, please.
      3) Yes, military personnel do get a lot more information about things than you civilians do, but I can't prove this because I could go to jail for the rest of my life. =D
      4) Before you back-lashing civilians talk out of place again, may I suggest that you re-read new history. Iraq was a hand-in-hand operation for the military and for 9/11. We went into Afghanistan to wipe clean the threat that was presented to us and found evidence suggesting something more, which lead us into Iraq. Of course, I can't say anything "REAL" because you foogies believe CNN and FOX more than you do the Military. Ha ha.
      5) Don't diss me. Like I said, I know more about current world events than all of you do, unless of course, you are also in the Military. If not, shut up.
      6) Do not say thank you to me. Most people do not mean it and I don't like empty words.

I never said, "Hey guys! Don't vote Democrat!!" I said, "Don't vote Obama." Personally, I do not care which "party" you conform to, I DO care who runs our country, though. Vote Democrat if you want or vote Republican. The "party" of the person shouldn't matter; however, their principles and their mannerisms should matter and those which Obama have DOES NOT match up.
