Jason Lee to join 'Up All Night'

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jason Lee will be joining the cast of new NBC comedy “Up All Night.”

Beginning in November, the “My Name is Earl” alum will have a recurring role as Kevin, a love interest for Maya Rudolph’s character, egomaniacal talk show host Ava.

In upcoming episodes, Ava has the hots for Kevin, described as “a sweet, single dad who is clean cut and attractive.”

Jason Lee, 41, also stars in TNT drama “Memphis Beat,” which may get picked up for a third season.

“Up All Night,” starring Christina Applegate and Will Arnett as new parents adjusting to the transition, airs Wednesdays at 8/7C.

    I tried to watch the first one and couldn't get in to it. It just wasn't my thing. Best of luck to the cast and crew, though.

    I liked Jason Lee, ever since I saw him in mallrats. Lost all respect for him however when I found out he was a scientologist.
