Chris Evans is trading in his "Captain America" suit for a more lawyer-esque look in his upcoming film, "Puncture."
The 30-year-old actor stars as functioning drug addict Mike Weiss, a personal injury lawyer who manages to maintain his own practice in Houston along with his more responsible friend (played by the film's co-director, Mark Kassen). Evans' atypical attorney finds himself in the middle of a health care conspiracy after taking on the case of a nurse who was pricked by a contaminated needle.
In the clip above, Evans' Weiss works the press, touting the numerous health care workers who are charging up thousands of dollars in testing because of needle accidents. "What we're fighting for," he intones, "is the right to live in a country where human life is valued more than profit." But the question is whether Weiss can fight for his cause when he's dealing with his own dependency issues.
"Puncture" arrives in theaters September 23.
I still think he eats doodoo
I loved this movie when I saw it at the TriBec film festival. Chris Evans gives a powerful performance as Mike Weiss. I was enthralled.
And then when you realize it is based on a true story it is even more amazing. Nurses face such struggles everyday and the system is designed in such a way that they are not provided the support or tools needed to create and work in a safe environment.
I truly hope this film helps something change. It is importnat and I will definitely see it again when it comes out in theaters this Friday, September 23rd.
So obvious. portalpunk has nothing to offer for the article, then switches to tracie to add even more of nothing to the article... two wastes of space aliases, one waste of space of a person who keeps using them.
