Anna Faris wants an Apatow-esque female posseAnna Faris is looking for a few good female friends. The star of upcoming comedy "What's Your Number?" would like her own "equivalent of the Judd Apatow crew," but tells Marie Claire she finds it hard to meet other women in the business. "When we meet each other, it's always at some fussy event where everyone's, you know, schmoozy and full of s-–. So it's difficult. I would love to have more actress friends, but I don't," she laments. “I have to call somebody's agent and be like, 'Hey, I know this is crazy — I don't even have a specific project — but I'd really like to hang out with this girl.' It has to be awkwardly coordinated like that." She's not looking for just friendship, though. Faris says she notices that it’s much easier for her husband Chris Pratt to network in Hollywood.
“All the guys are buddies,” she notes, “everyone's helping each other out and writing roles for each other. But you can't say to a bunch of girls, 'Hey, you're my friend, come join my movie!'" So any actresses reading this, please, contact Anna’s agent and set up a coffee date. If you can catch her, that is. Faris is busy filming Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest flick “The Dictator” and producing her own films, including “Gold Diggers,” which she likens to a female “Wedding Crashers.” "What's Your Number?" hits theaters September 30.
