'SATC' prequel being developed by the CWThe rumored "Sex and the City" prequel series that was said to be landing on the CW is closer to becoming a reality. According to Entertainment Weekly, the home of "Gossip Girl" is working out details to procure a script for another fashion-forward, NYC-based show. It'll be based on Candace Bushnell's "The Carrie Diaries," which told the story of infamous "SATC" character Carrie Bradshaw's senior year in a small, New England town during the '80s. The show would stick to the story and focus on Bradshaw's high school years, EW reports, and the CW would be keeping it in the family on the production side - "Gossip Girl" team Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are on board to oversee the concept if it finds its way to pilot and potentially series. As suggested previously, former "SATC" writer Amy Harris - who's also writing for "GG" this season - would lend a hand with the project. It wouldn't simply be "SATC: The Younger Years" entirely, though: the characters from the HBO show, with the exception of Samantha Jones, aren't in the prequel. |

Loved SATC. Have no interest in seeing this show. If they other characters were a part of a orequel scenario, maybe.
Auditions for the lead role are going to be held soon... may the best horse win.

Eh, won't this franchise die already!?!
