Rachel Uchitel denies quotes about 9/11 victim fiancéBefore she hit the headlines as Tiger Woods’ alleged main mistress, Rachel Uchitel was seen in the news because of a 9/11 photo. The snapshot depicted her grieving over her fiancé, investment banker James Andrew O’Grady, who died in the terrorist attacks. With the 10th anniversary of the tragedy looming, Page Six Magazine interviewed Uchitel, and the resulting story produced some alleged stunning statements. The former “Celebrity Rehab” star is claiming her quotes were taken out of context, reports TMZ, and she says she’s considering suing the magazine.
'Bridesmaids' actress latest to join 'Magic Mike'Doling out casting news by the spoonful has become a movie promotion mainstay - for a good stretch this summer, not a day seemed to go by without someone else being added to "The Hunger Games" – but "Magic Mike" is a little different. At first, the announcement that Channing Tatum was set to star in a male stripper movie based on his experience working at a Tampa club was met with plenty of smirks and sarcasm (or was that just us?). Better yet, it was to be directed by Steven Soderbergh and would also star Alex Pettyfer as the younger stripper who looks up to Tatum's character as a mentor. But then little bits of casting news were revealed, well timed and always managing to top what came before it. Talk about a tease.
Lady Gaga strips down for Harper's BazaarLady Gaga leaves the meat dresses and alter egos behind for her latest shoot in the October issue of Harper's Bazaar. Instead of the usual outlandish gear, Gaga (we feel like we should call her Stefani Germanotta, she's so pared down here) is pictured "basically barefaced," the magazine says. The "You and I" singer explains that she doesn't really see it as a "natural" look since to her, "artifice is the new reality" anyway. Kate Hudson's dad ready to 'tell all' in new bookKate Hudson may be a privileged actress, but she’s about to experience one of the downsides of fame – relatives writing tell-alls. According to Radar Online, the star’s dad, Bill Hudson, has a book coming out titled “2 Versions: The Other Side of Fame and Family” (which also seems to have two titles: Online retailers display it as "So You Are a Star: The Other Side of Fame and Family"). It's expected to detail Bill Hudson’s marriage to Goldie Hawn and his complicated relationship with their actor children, Oliver and Kate Hudson.
New mom Miranda Kerr rocks bikini for ElleElle magazine's October issue brings back the model, giving the spotlight to famous Victoria's Secret faces Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes, Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr. Kerr gave birth to a baby boy, Flynn, in January, and by April she was back on the grind. While on set for a Victoria's Secret shoot, Kerr tweeted a photo of what was going on behind-the-scenes - which included her breastfeeding Flynn. She was in good company at the Elle magazine shoot, though, since both Kroes and Lima are also moms of young children. Lil Wayne tops Billboard with 964,000 soldNever mind his apparent affection for animal print pants: Lil Wayne's officially landed at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. According to Billboard, Weezy's album "Tha Carter IV," which went on sale digitally immediately following the MTV Video Music Awards on August 28, bowed at No. 1 this week. It's the third No. 1 for Lil Wayne, who previously accomplished the feat with "Tha Carter III" and "I Am Not A Human Being." |
