Angelina Jolie lends a hand to Jane GoodallJane Goodall is the subject of upcoming biopic “Jane’s Journey,” which chronicles the famed chimpanzee researcher’s travels, life and work. And according to People, an unexpected celebrity pal will be featured in the film: Angelina Jolie. "I was delighted when she told me she would be excited to be a part of the film," Goodall, 77, said of the altruistic movie star. Jolie appears in the film working on a sustainability project at Goodall’s home. "Sometimes, caught up in the moment, people promise to give their support but don't, or can't come through,” Goodall continued. “That was not true with Angelina."
Other famous friends involved in the project include Pierce Brosnan and Dave Matthews. “Jane's Journey” will debut in around 500 theaters on September 27. On that night, Goodall will be broadcast live to the selected theaters to answer fan questions, which you can submit on the Jane Goodall Live Facebook page. |

@Marin..soup on the brian..u r going to ratt me out to the Soup Nazi..aren't u
I absolutely love Jane Goodall. She is a saint among the chimpanzees. Kudos to Angelina, Dave and Pierce for lending their celebrity to support this cause and make the public "more aware" of the life long research of this amazing woman. See Jane Go!
My bad thank you everybody for the clarifications about D. Fossey and J. Godall. The coffee hadn't quite kick in this morning but now I do remember Gorillas in the Mist correctly. Thank you again. If this movie is anything like that I will be very interested in seeing it. Thanks!
@soup – did you even read this article?
That was a sad movie. I don't like movies that involves killing or hurting of animals. What makes it worse is that it was true, if I'm correct saying so. Anyway, I thought AJ said she wasn't going to be doing anymore movies that she wants to focus on Bratt and family.
Jolie would be perfect for that story. She is a terrific actor.
That statement was pretty low. I commend her & Brad for adopting these less fortunate children, and giving them a great life. I also applaud anybody who works for animals rights and preservation.
Gorillas In The Midst is a classic. I believe that Jolie can enhance the beauty of this movie, while bringing an awareness of the importance of saving this endangered species.
Does Brad count as an adopted chimp,
Great! We need more she-roes like Jane. Her research needs this global exposure in today's world.
Hangin' with chimps beats working for idiot bosses. But enough about my job. Go Jane go. Congrats.
Good Morning Y'all! Is this the same lady "Gorillas in the Mist" was based on? Even if it isn't I think it is great that the celebs are backing her important working and sticking to their word. Way to go Angelina, Pierce, and Dave! Congrats to Jane for this movie! Is it going to ever be in more than 500 theaters?
Diane Fossey was written about in the book "Gorillas in the Mist" and portrayed in the movie by Sigourney Weaver. Fossey was murdered in her camp by machete attack. It is believed to be because of her efforts to protect the gorillas from poaching. Delightful to hear a better story in Jane Goodall's life.
Lol. You must not ever have seen Gorillas in the Mist, as the protagonist dies in the end. JG is still very much alive.
You should rent the movie! It's a good one.
No, that was Diane Fosse...she was murdered by poachers. Jane Goodall is alive and well.
They will be more beautiful and successful than you will ever be~
