One of the first live-action flicks Julia Roberts filmed after 2004's "Ocean's Twelve" is finally being released.
"Fireflies in the Garden," which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2008, was released in theaters and on DVD in virtually every country except the United States.
For awhile, many people wondered if the film would ever be released domestically. Then, last weekend, the first trailer was posted online and news of a release date surfaced.
The film follows a bearded Ryan Reynolds as a romance novelist who's forced to come to terms with his dysfunctional family and abusive father in the wake of his mother's death.
Roberts (who plays Reynold's mother in flashbacks), Willem Dafoe, Emily Watson and former "Heroes" star Hayden Panettiere also appear in the film.
Do you think the film will be worth the wait?
"Fireflies" is set to be released in theaters on October 14 in New York and Los Angeles, followed by a wide release at a later date.
