Fans of "The Town" are no doubt excited by this news - Ben Affleck is in talks to pull another directing/acting job in the upcoming action thriller "Line of Sight," which he may also produce, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Affleck is reportedly in negotiations to work on the Warner Bros. action movie. (Warner Bros. is owned by the same parent company as CNN.)

The film follows an elite military squad dealing with a serious global threat ... while transporting dangerous cargo. Standard plot. Except that there's a video game angle.

Ross Mathews, known as “Ross the Intern” to fans of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Chelsea Lately,” has parlayed his popularity into a development deal with E!, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

With this deal in place, Mathews is set to create a pilot for his own talk show with the network.

“It really is the time and I feel like I’m ready now,” Mathews, 31, tells The Hollywood Reporter of developing his own talk show pilot with Chelsea Handler’s production company, Borderline Amazing Productions. “I know how to speak to the audience. I know how to speak to celebrities. And I know my point of view.”

First, “Jersey Shore” cast member Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino tried to dance his way to the mirror ball trophy on the 11th season of “Dancing With the Stars.”

Then “The Situation’s” housemate Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi was rumored to be joining the latest season of the ABC dance show. So why would their "Shore" roommate Pauly D say he’s too good for "DWTS"?

During a recent interview with a New York television show, Pauly D, who is on tour with Britney Spears, says he doesn’t think he’ll be fist-pumping on the “Dancing With the Stars” dance floor anytime soon. He says, “I will do ‘Dancing With the Stars’ when my career dips.”

Over the 12 seasons of “DWTS,” the dance floor has attracted some big name stars – Kim Kardashian, Kirstie Alley, Donny and Marie Osmond, just to name a few. I don’t think Pauly D meant he was bigger than these stars, but what do you think? Is Pauly D too big to dance for the mirror ball trophy?

Old Spice pitchman Isaiah Mustafa has snagged a recurring role on ABC series “Charlie’s Angels,” reports TVLine.com.

The hunky actor joins the cast of the upcoming ABC series as athletic Miami detective Ray Goodson. Goodson was engaged to Kate (Annie Ilonzeh), but broke it off after she was exposed as a dirty cop.

Mustafa’s character will be introduced in episode four, when the Angels (Ilonzeh, Minka Kelly, and Rachael Taylor) take on a case detective Goodson is also working, according to TV Guide.

January Jones' cold reputation continues, thanks to recent comments from her onscreen son, but “Mad Men” co-star John Slattery is coming to her defense. Sort of.

Jared Gilmore, who is the third little boy to play Bobby Draper, warned the next kid playing Jones' son to “be careful around” her. (Gilmore is leaving the show for a new series.)

"Well, it's an intimidating character," Slattery said to E! News of Gilmore's comment, insinuating that maybe the little tyke confused Jones’ real personality with acting. "I mean, that's the character. Betty Draper is an intimidating woman I suppose, if you were a seven-year-old boy [or] her son." (Or if you’re Zach Galifianakis.)

"The World According to Paris" may be coming to an end.

New York Magazine's Vulture reports that after the poor ratings of the first season, Paris Hilton's latest venture into reality TV won't be able to resuscitate itself for a second season, according to unnamed sources.

The network for the reality show, Oxygen, isn't saying whether Hilton's "World" has officially been folded, noting that "The show just recently completed its run and no pick up decision has been made."

Forget Paris... and the Kardashians, Omarosa, Boston Rob, Jon and Kate, Snooki and The Situation. You won't see reality stars receiving recognition on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The question was posed and answered this week on the Walk of Fame's Facebook page: "Someone asked if we give reality show characters stars? Hell to the No!" At last check, 60 people had "liked" the post, and most of the 35 comments agreed with the sentiment.

Could, say - just for instance - Kim Kardashian buy herself a star? Critics like to point out that honorees must pony up $30,000 for the privilege, the funds to create and install the star, and to help maintain the Walk.
