America loves Betty White bestThought Reese Witherspoon was America’s Sweetheart? Or maybe Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock? Well, you’d be wrong, because Betty White can officially claim that title. It turns out that the angelic 89-year-old is now America’s most favorite and trusted celebrity, the Los Angeles Times reports. White has come in first in a Reuters/Ipsos poll asking, "whose endorsement of a company would be most likely to drive business”?
Just over 2,000 Americans voted, and the former “Golden Girls” star beat out other famous faces like Denzel Washington, Sandra Bullock, Clint Eastwood, Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Morgan Freeman (who tied for seventh place with Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge), Will Smith and Johnny Depp. The celebrities the public doesn’t care for include: Paris Hilton, Charlie Sheen, Britney Spears (who ties for third with Kanye West), Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tiger Woods, Kim Kardashian, Mel Gibson, Donald Trump and LeBron James. Last year, White won an Emmy for her “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig, and the actress has recently appeared in Snickers commercials and TV shows like “Community” and “Hot in Cleveland.” And you’ll be seeing more of White this fall; she has an upcoming “Punk’d”-type show (with a senior twist) called “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.”

Dear Betty White .. I hope you see this note. One of our Hero Dogs needs your help. Gabe and his Handler Chuck were supposed to come out to Dodger Stadium to throw out the first ball, but Delta is saying that Gabe would have to travel in the cargo area ... and Chuck doesn't feel that he can put Gabe thru that kind of stress. Gabe is dealing with PTSD at this point. If you can put in a word for Gabe, that would be very kind ... me, I plan on NEVER using Delta again for this disrespect of a Great Service Dog, Gabe. I'm not a Betty White fan. She has delivered some great lines from writers, but as for the interest in her, I don't get it.

You can easily tell which posters value talent and which posters value no-talent hacks. Betty White has talent in her acting. She worked hard at it when she was younger and everything she touches turns to gold now because of her hard work.
The posters who bash her are obviously fans of shows like Jersey Shore, Glee, etc. that have no talent...just a bunch of people who either look good or have a good voice.
I'm not bashing them, I'm just saying it is very easy to tell them apart.

Betty White was born one day after my precious mother who died last month. I would give anything to have my mother back with the energy and joy of BW. We are very lucky to have her still with us.

Although the show ended a decade before I was born, Betty White will always be Sue Ann Nivens from "Mary Tyler Moore" in my book. "Golden Girls" reruns are still on. To see her appear in movies like "You Again" and "The Proposal", and on SNL is great too. I think she's earned it!

I agree Sherri. I have liked Betty White since I first saw her in re-runs of 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show'. She was delightfully b#!*@y in 'Mama's Family', and was a sweet dimwit in 'Golden Girls'. I love her feisty character in 'Hot in Cleveland' now and honestly can't imagine the show without her. I realize she is of an advanced age but I hope her health is good so she can continue to entertain for many more years.
