Photo: Michelle Williams as Marilyn MonroeNew stills from the upcoming movie “My Week with Marilyn” show Michelle Williams doing her best Marilyn Monroe. In a stylized photo released to We Are Movie Geeks shows Williams as the iconic actress, sashaying in sunglasses through a pack of paparazzi. Eddie Redmayne (as Colin Clark) and Dougray Scott (as Arthur Miller) are also pictured. “My Week with Marilyn” is based on the diary of British studio assistant Colin Clark, who spent time with the star during the filming of “The Prince and the Showgirl” in 1956.
In addition to Williams, Redmayne and Scott, Kenneth Branagh stars as Sir Laurence Olivier, Emma Watson plays a wardrobe assistant, and Julia Ormond portrays Vivien Leigh. The drama, directed by Simon Curtis, will be released November 4 but debuts at the New York Film Festival on October 9. Does Michelle Williams make a convincing Marilyn? Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams and Kate Hudson were also reportedly considered for the role. |

Whowever said it appears not too many watch Fringe... ya live under a rock?
Fringe and its cast and crew have been nominated and won several awards including Emmys, Saturn Awards, Golden Reel Awards, Satellite Awards, and Writers Guild of America Awards (quote)
S.J. is stolen biological material, taken against will and formed to clones line 200 pieces total. Sign of dangerous criminal activity. Original Scarlett Galabekian future pediatrician doctor, pediatrician nurse license she obtained in 2008
I want to pee on her!
I think she's a wonderful actress, but doesn't seem to capture Marilyn in these pictures anyway. :/ Maybe the acting will be better.
Well get over it. Those days are gone.
Sorry not even close...
I remember watching Dawson's Creek and thinking she looked a bit like a young Marilyn. I think they chose the right actress. Others can disagree, but I actually see it! She's a terrific actress as well.
As for the other gals that allegedly were considered, I could see Scarlett in the role as well, I've never thought of it! Anyway, I look forward to this movie as I've recently seen "The Prince and the Showgirl" for the first time- and I'd like to see what could have happened behind the scenes.
No problem @happycow....i've got ya! You have fun today....be good....
She's ugly. And will never come close to Marilyns beauty. The only girl I recall looking like her is Anna Nicole. Too bad she's dead
both were drug addicts and died from it...i'll give you that.
Michelle's a good actress, the best to emerge from Dawson's Creek, but I don't think but she comes close to capturing Marilyn. She just looks like a girl playing dress up with that pale blonde hair and the red lips. Nice try though.
Thanks happy Charlie Crack. We hope you have a good day.
Okay no. She does not in any shape or form look like Marilyn Monroe. Are you kidding me? There are plenty of other actresses which could at least do her (Marilyn Monroe) justice – Michelle Williams would be no where in that category. That out of the way, Michelle Williams is a good actress and I usually like her but, yeah no.
She looks good! What's up @maurice? Hope alls well bro. @happy cow- you make me laugh. Anyone that doesn't like it can mooooove over....yall have a good day. Be safe, be good
She looks nothing like Marilyn Monroe. Maybe Scarlett Johansen?? How can the anorexic actresses of today look anything like Marilyn Monroe? I guess they'll have to start eating....
She looks very tasty. I want to kick her in the face.
WHAAAAAAT?
Peter. You should email or blog tracie on this site. Yall might hit it off.
Close butt no cigar. *POOT* <-smell that for acting on such a stupid idea.
She looks good,i'd like to eat her up all morning.
I am a 29 years old computer engineer and now I am seeking a nice woman for a stable relationship,so I got a username Alexwing432 on-Meetrich.C óM---it's the most effective site in the world to connect with, date and marry successful, beautiful people.Meanwhile,it's worthy a try.The best part is that it's completely free, unlike all the other paid dating sites. You do not have to be rich or famous!
This isn't about leaving her alone. This is about celebrating the beauty, grace, and all around glory that is Marylin Monroe! I'm Excited!
See you are in a better mood. Nothing like a$$, legs and t!ts to put a smile on a man's face..lol. Oh and a pretty face. To people that says she doesn't look like Marilyn, she is just playing a part. Geezes get a grip. I think she is still pretty. @Sandi: take deep breaths and tone it down a notch. Your jealous nature is showing
HOW LAME. Michelle looks NOTH-ING like Marilyn. ABSOLUTELY nothing like her.
She is not nearly as lovely and must learn to pout, lol.
Lovely photos, but there's only one Marilyn. Just like there's only one Elizabeth and Sophia and Raquel. Iconic beauties, all.
And only one Rita Hayworth, and Jean Harlow, and Greta Garbo. Back in the day the leading ladies had some class, unlike now.
Why don't they let this woman rest in peace. She was abused by this dude and that dude. Those a.r.s.e.holes in the white house back then did a real number on her. The only man who ever truly cared for her was Joe. It would have been nice if they could have stayed together, but sometimes certain people, no matter what, can not live or be with others. Hollywood just doesn't know how to show class.
She left Joe because he would beat her.
Um, No.
She has done ok since being on Dawsons Creek. Katie Holmes too. Whatever happened to dawson and pacey? Dont hear so much about them anymore.
She doesn't really even come close to Marilyn's look and essence. Nice try though!
The Pacey guy (Joshua Jackson) is the main actor in Fringe, the TV show...I think it is doing pretty well. I think, Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is the only one who really has not done that well after the Dawson's Creek show ended.
Have you ever heard of Fringe???
seen Fringe..no. But given the ratings, not too many have.
Um... James Van Der Beek has actually been busy since that show ended. Just b/c it's not all on TV doesn't mean it wasn't good work HELLO Brodway, an award in 2009 and he's cast in Mercy and thriller movie Stolen.
