Hilary Duff, Mike Comrie expecting first childHilary Duff and husband Mike Comrie are expecting their first child, the actress-singer announced on her website Sunday. Duff, who celebrated her one-year anniversary with the professional hockey player this weekend, wrote, "I can’t believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you’re having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that ... BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives." Earlier this year, the 23-year-old intimated that she was looking forward to motherhood, although at the time she wasn't sure if she was ready. “Yes, we’re excited to [start a family], but I think I want to work a little bit more. I’m tossing around the idea of making another record, and obviously that wouldn’t be very good timing,” Duff told Access Hollywood in May. “We want it, and we’re excited for it, but I think it can wait just a little while longer,” Duff added. “[Comrie] is supportive of me. We both are excited to do that, but he knows that I’m still young.”

Whom is she intimidating ? Was the reporter intimidated by her wanting to be a mother.
Maybe associate producer Stephanie Goldberg needs to go back to school to learn how to use the correct words.

I don't think so, unless they also fixed it in the quote in your comment. I think you misread it.
Uh, C-Note, "to intimate" and "to intimidate" are two very different verbs.
Intimate used as a verb means to hint at or indirectly indicate..so the writer was correct in their word choice.
