Taylor Swift has been paying tribute to hometown stars as she traverses North America on her "Speak Now" tour. So when she rolled into Grand Rapids, Michigan in late July, she opted to show off her rhyming skills and cover a little Eminem.
We, like Entertainment Weekly, are similarly impressed with her ability to put some bass in her voice when she says "Yo" (and the acoustic guitar accompaniment isn't bad, either.) Swift, 21, then segues into Uncle Kracker's "Smile." Note how her audience runs through the lyrics to both tracks right along with the country star.
According to EW, Swift has covered Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi in Jersey and Alanis Morissette and Justin Bieber in Toronto, so of course we gotta ask: Will Swift show Chicago her best Kanye cover when she hits the Windy City on August 9 and 10?

Are you serious? This girl is a hot mess.
I would gladly stick my finger up my butt then give her some brown-eye shadow.
Why doesn't someone smear some more makeup on the poor girl?
Deb–you could not be more correct. Get some other person on stage who can actually carry a tune. This girl wouldn't even make the top 20 on American Idol...
She can't sing. She can't Sing. She can't SING. There needs to be another word for OFF-KEY when talking about this 'artist' cause SHE--CAN'T--SING. YES...she can write.....but......CAN NOT SING.....can't do it. CAN'T.
she did a nice job, no reason for you to be mean
Yo I'm o let you finish 'psyche'.
Taylor can't sing. Enough said.
Best acoustic cover of a song ever... Adam Lambert Whole Lotta Love.
Best acoustic song ever, go listen to Thom Yorke doing True Love Waits acoustic and then dare tell me Taylor Swift is even in the same league let alone considered a "talented" musician.
LMAO, this is hilarious! She's Rapping now!? Her voice is so-so, but she is a solid song writer, thats how she's risen so quickly! Doing covers of artists in their homestates is cute, but rapping takes ovaries for a 21 year old country/pop singer! Is she gonna do Prince in Minnesota? Hmmm, maybe a little DMSR or Darling Nikki!? Little Red Corvette would be cool too! I'd have loved to see it! You go, Swift girl!!
Ante up everybody! You too Matt Damon you rich @sshole! 5 card draw, jokers are wild...........lol
Taylor, I'm really happy for ya and ima let ya finish, but Led Zeppelin had some of the best acoustic songs of all time... of all time.
she can't even sing live. Thank god for lip sync and auto tune becasue she's no more than a mass produced puppet
I reread the article and all it talks about is his singing career. Nothing at all about his athletic greatness. Buncha racist.
Taylor Swift is the best linebacker in the NFL today. Why didnt they even mention how great an athlete he is? This is solid racism. If this was a white guy that could sing and also play pro ball you can be sure they would be all over the story.
Yo, I'ma let you finish, but Taylor had the best acoustic cover of all time!!!
Hahahahah you win
Taylor... SERIOUSLY... Stick to the rapping.... cuz you singing F-g BLOWS! (Unless you are in the studio with autotune)
I really do like her as a rapper.
She won't even sound good with bo obs
