Sofia Vergara opens up on being a teen momIt’s not uncommon in Hollywood for women to become mothers in their late 30s, 40s, or even 50s. But Sofia Vergara, 39, isn’t following the celebrity trend: she was a teen mom! The “Modern Family” star was 19 when she had her son Manolo, and can’t imagine having children now. "I don't even want to think about it,” she tells the new issue of Redbook magazine. The Colombian-born actress was married at 18, and gave birth the next year. "When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything," she says of the benefits of having a baby young.
These days, Vergara and her son have a close relationship – they even posed together for the Got Milk? campaign last year. But Manolo isn’t above teasing his young mom. "He humiliates me,” she laughs. “He doesn’t understand how my accent can get worse and worse. He says, 'It’s not normal. Nobody does that.' So when I got nominated for the Emmy [in 2010] I called him and said, 'Right in your face! Even with my accent!'" But Vergara has been dealing with some familial drama as well - the actress' brother Julio Vergara was deported back to Colombia, CNN confirmed on Thursday. A spokesperson for Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Miami told CNN that the organization “placed Mr. Vergara in removal proceedings on April 26, 2011. An immigration judge determined that he was no longer eligible to remain in the U.S. because his criminal convictions are considered felonies under U.S. immigration law and ordered him removed to his home country of Colombia." The statement continued that "ICE carried out Mr. Vergara’s removal on May 9, 2011 as mandated by law. His removal is consistent with ICE’s enforcement priorities of identifying and removing those who have committed crimes in the United States.”

Meh ... she may have been a teen mom by definition, but she was in no way a teen mom as we commonly see in the US; underaged and unmarried.

@Taylor, if Kelly is a real person she would have to have been pregnant at 12 to have 2 children now and another on the way and I just dont see anyones parents or guardians allowing a child that young to keep their child much less 2. Or a doctor on this case to not call cps or the police anyway. So I stand by my first impression that this person is a hoax.
Alecia how much comprehension do you think it takes a fifteen year old to have to piece together these blogs?Kelly may not be book stupid,to young in my opinion to be having sax though I don't mind so much that they may be living off my taxes as I am worried about her raising little ones and not using birth control.

I'm thinking you shouldn't be proud of that at 15 with 3 kids.
15 yrs old with 2 kids and another on the way, what is wrong with you??? Or does it not matter since you are not the one supporting your kids, the American taxpayer is. Close those legs and try planning for a future, what kind of future a 15/16 yr old with 3 kids will have, nothing if you don't work at it. Quit living off of my money!!
