The front-runner emerges on 'SYTYCD'I never thought I would think of Melanie and "bucc" in the same sentence... but she did it again. Wednesday night's episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" cemented Melanie as the clear front-runner. There is literally no style she can't do. She easily kept up with tWitch in the very first number of the night, choreographed by Tabitha and Napoleon. And that wasn't even one of the biggest highlights of the night. For my money, her Broadway routine with Tadd was the best of the night. (And can we talk about that extraordinary solo that she practically made up on the spot?) The chemistry between them was palpable, especially compared to other routines, which ran the gamut. Ryan Reynolds hit by a drunk driver as a teenRyan Reynolds has revealed that a responsible move on his part nearly proved fatal. As a teenager, the actor experienced a very scary night out in his native Vancouver, Canada. "When I was 19 I was drinking," the “Green Lantern” star tells CTV News. "I was at a bar and I had a few drinks and I thought, 'You know what I'm going to do? I'm going to leave my car here, be responsible.' I started to walk home and I was hit by a drunk driver." As a result, the now 34-year-old actor broke "every bone" on his left side and was unconscious for three days. Reynolds woke up to his father holding a vomit tray. “I guess I had been heaving in my unconscious,” he explains. “And nothing says love like painting someone with three-day-old Gin Rummies. Just soaked the man head to toe in my vomit." Hugh Hefner, Playmates go plankingHugh Hefner's girlfriend Anna Sophia Berglund has some effective powers of persuasion. As Hef explained on Twitter Wednesday, "After the Uno game, Anna got me to plank on the dining room table." And in what appears to be his pajamas, no less.
But why plank alone when there are playmates around? Literally. "I have a table full of planking Playmates here at the Mansion," Hef tweeted Wednesday. "See photo."
Lea Michele resisted plastic surgery pressureHollywood's notorious for being brutal about physical appearance, as "Glee" star Lea Michele knows all too well. In the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the actress recounts crude comments she got while pursuing showbiz. "How many managers told me, ‘Get a nose job. You’re not pretty enough’? But I proved them wrong," Michele tells the magazine. “I’m five foot three. I don’t look like a lot of other people, you know what I mean? I look like I’m 12.” But unlike so many Hollywood heavyweights, Michele resisted altering her face, and her star is rising. The “Glee” movie hits theaters in 3-D this month. Laughs Michele, “My nose is going to look fabulous.” The Throwback: Still waiting for the 'Sweet Pickles' bus?Remember the "Sweet Pickles" bus commercial? In a fit of '80s TV nostalgia, I recently had the commercial's song stuck in my head ("Smart moms know... how kids' minds grow... upon 'Sweet Pickles'").
Kim Kardashian wedding to be two-part E! specialThere's so much to keep up with when it comes to Kim Kardashian's wedding prep that E! has to spread her television special across two nights. The network has announced that "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event" will air on Sunday, October 9 and Monday, October 10 at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The TV special will cover everything from the wedding plans to the couple's fetes, and of course, the wedding itself, scheduled for August 20 in Montecito, California. Hopefully we'll also get to find out who dropped $4600 on a vase for a wedding gift. |
