Drake enlists Stevie Wonder's help for album

Drake's upcoming album is already making "Headlines": the artist revealed to MuchMusic over the weekend that icon Stevie Wonder had a hand in creating his soon-to-be-released "Take Care."

Drake calls the heralded singer a close friend, and said that he relied on Wonder to give him some feedback.

"He helped me out with a lot of the music, just came and sat with me...told me where I could add a couple things to make it more sonically appealing," the 24-year-old star said. "Not only that, but we actually are writing together, which is an incredible experience."

Fans got to see the two team up at the OVO Music Festival in Toronto this past weekend, as Drake brought Wonder along to perform with him.

"I...asked him to come by, and with no hesitation he hit me back like, 'I will be there,'" Drake said of setting up the gig. "He was supposed to do two songs and he did like six. It was incredible."

Drake's "Take Care" drops on October 24. Are you looking forward to it? What do you think of his latest singles?

well done drake. you have to seperate yourself from this pop culture sound and get into your own style. Great hip hop artist..his style of lyrics are amazing but he has to get away from the lil wayne crew in order to reall make a mark

I'm not a huge rap fan, but I suggest that people who dislike rap or hip hop not judge one artist based on their genre and vice versa. That would be like me saying I hate country because I'm not a fan of Taylor Swift. Also, if you are going to quote a lyric, please make sure the lyric is correct and in context. Kudos to Stevie Wonder for working with Drake. It isn't unusual for legends like him to work with new younger artists people. Respect the artist's craft; you don't have to like their work to do it.

Drake is not a rapper, he sounds more like Dr seus .anybody can rhyme. But can you rhyme and still have a message?

"What am I gonna do? Oh yeah, I'm gone do me, I'm gone do me."

    That's a Drake rap.

Hip-Hop died years ago. All the new rappers are clown shoes.

Drake is working, trying to solidify himself as a staying power in the current hiphop era. You should acknowledge the fact the kid went enlisted Mr. Wonder for his new album and learned from him. A sign of a student of music, progressing himself and not regressing.

Drake is one of the most talented artist in the music industry today. To everyone that's using this as an oppotunity for negativity towards him or Stevie Wonder focus more on getting your own life out the tank.

I'm sorry but he is probably the worst rapper out there. I heard a few of his new songs and I literally took it off under a minute. His last cd was wack. He's now worse that he signed with Young Money. Not even stevie wonder can help him. Time for a me job

I HONESTLY think that "TAKE CARE" will be a real laid back sort of song...Stevie Wonder is like an "ALL TIME GREATEST" so he's more of an "OL SKOOL" guy singing about love and devotion!!! Now Drake is more of a Triple Threat, 21st Century guy...he sings, acts and raps...I think it will be AWESOME ;o)
