Want to buy Sheryl Crow's car?Sheryl Crow is the latest celebrity offering to help the people of Joplin, Missouri, who suffered terrible losses when deadly tornadoes hit the town earlier this year. In an effort to rebuild schools in the region, the Missouri native will auction off her personal 1959 Mercedes-Benz in Pebble Beach next month. "After the tornado in Joplin, I was moved to help rebuild a city so close to where I grew up in Missouri," says the Grammy-winning artist. "My hope is that the auction of my 1959 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL Roadster will bring in funds to help rebuild the schools in the area." The classic Mercedes-Benz will be presented for sale at Gooding & Company's Pebble Beach Auction on August 21, immediately following the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance tournament. In case you’re in the market, the vintage vehicle was fully restored in 2005 and is estimated to be worth between $50,000 and $80,000. The white convertible features black leather upholstery, a white hardtop and an optional black soft top Proceeds from the sale of the car will benefit the Joplin Schools Recovery Fund though the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
